I'm *so* excited to see how Opal's WB boy does
Ravenwood Farm
Issy It's probably that they want the horse tested, and it's probably ideal for that to happen on RO day. 48 hours is kind of generous in my opinion even
The Old Gods
I generally don't use straws anymore because of how demanding people have become about them
Nightingales Ridge
I'll have to check may be first embryo I can use for the freshie and use the other lb chap next
Ravenwood Farm
Yeah holding on to test straws is a no go, but the regular ones are usually okay to hold for a few days
Minerva
I would say not for freshie straws, but I often do for normal straws and never have an issue
Gaelic Gladiacres
raven - yeah. and I find it hilarious now I think about it that my dad's horse is called the Menace because he's a grumpy meanie lmao but an absolute beast cross country
Gem
Yes straws from threads can be used for embryos :) The only exception is if people don't want you to wait 3 days to use it for a second embryo but they'll usually say so in the thread
Ravenwood Farm
Gladius Ouch, that sounds very painful! :0 I'm glad he likely ended up doing well in the end though
Nightingales Ridge
Dumb question. Putting your name on straw threads...those can be used for embryos right? I know some people like priority and 2nd embryo is a 3 days wait huh?
Gaelic Gladiacres
raven - we had a colt when I was a kid that was called El Nino because he was the meanest tempered horse (double barreled my dad in the chest if I recall correctly). think he ended up being a great horse but not sure where he got sold on to
