"You ready?" Once Rosa gave Caden her answer,he grinned before Ricochet reared and dashed onto the trial trail. The first jump was a massive wooden oxer, easy for the ranger horses though.

They came across Caden's favorite part, the hill.Ricochet had to squeeze through a narrow passageway but once they got out,a bank jump awaited them.Ricochet hopped up before hopping back down into the water section.

(Felt a moment of inspiration, sorry for the block of text) Rosa grinned as she felt Seven's hooves steady beneath her, his powerful muscles working in rhythm as they approached the familiar hill. She knew this was Caden's favorite part, and honestly, it had become one of hers too. The hill was like a challenge, something that never failed to make her feel alive. Ahead, she saw Ricochet squeeze through the narrow passageway. Seven flicked an ear in his direction, and Rosa gave him a soft nudge to keep his focus. As Ricochet cleared the passage, Rosa’s heart raced, knowing what came next: the bank jump. “Here we go, boy,” she whispered to Seven, giving him a gentle squeeze with her calves. Seven’s ears perked as they approached the base of the slope. He seemed to sense the excitement, the challenge ahead. With a fluid motion, he pushed off, his muscles working together to lift them over the bank with a grace that made Rosa's chest swell with pride. And just like Ricochet, Seven landed smoothly, his hooves kicking up a spray of water as they splashed down into the section below. “Easy, boy,” Rosa murmured as Seven settled back into a steady trot, water dripping from his coat. She could feel the pulse of the ride, the connection between them, and she couldn’t help but smile. This was why she loved the hills—each one felt like a triumph, even when it was just about the moment. Edited at November 30, 2024 10:07 PM by Hudie

Caden looked back and beamed.Time slowed down and all he could feel was Rosa's enjoyment of the ride and Seven's connection.Time grew again as Caden urged the chesnut stallion on,clearing a brush jump.He felt each and every piece of brush touch the bottom of his boot's heel.Caden beamed as he smooched the stallion on like a rocket, sending them flying into the open area of land, also known as White Bear Reserve inside of the state park.He slowed Ricochet down enough to match Seven and Rosa's speed, tempo, rythem, everything. "Are you enjoying the ride?" Caden asks, excitement twinkling in his eyes.

Rosa smiled, her heart racing in time with the rhythm of her horse’s gallop. She couldn’t help it — the wind whipping through her hair, the earth beneath her pounding in a steady beat, and the world around them stretched wide and open, wild with possibility. Her chest felt full, not just with the physical joy of the ride, but with something deeper — a connection, maybe, to the land, the horses, to this moment. She met Caden's gaze, catching the gleam in his eyes. The excitement in his voice was almost contagious, but it was more than that. There was something about the way he held Ricochet in perfect balance, how in sync he was with the horse... with everything. It reminded her of a kind of freedom that only came when you fully gave yourself to the ride, to the speed, to the land — to the present. “I’m loving it,” she said, her voice light with laughter and breathless from the pace, though her gaze softened with genuine warmth. “This is... amazing. Seven’s in his element. And it feels like we are too.” She glanced ahead, feeling the wind catch in her lungs. “I think he’s as happy as we are.” She gave a little squeeze of her thighs and leaned into the rhythm, urging Seven forward with an effortless, almost instinctive ease. The world around them was all golden and green — bright, endless, a blur of life. There was no place she’d rather be.

(thank you! thank you! bows. I just have so much motivation now. I don't know what happened, but I am just typing and typing. It's coming out longer then expected) Rosa could feel the adrenaline surging through her, her heart beating in sync with the thundering hooves of Seven beneath her. They were in perfect harmony, just like Caden and Ricochet, but in her own way. She’d spent so much time with Seven, building that bond, pushing him to be his best, and now, as they raced alongside Caden and Ricochet, everything just clicked. "Yeah, he really is." Caden's voice called out, full of excitement, but Rosa was too focused to respond. Seven’s muscles rippled beneath her, and she could feel the power of him, the way his neck arched with every stride. His energy was electric, as if he was feeding off the rhythm of the race. She patted his neck once, her fingers pressing into the firm muscle, and he responded instantly, quickening his pace to match Ricochet’s. She could feel the track narrowing ahead. The jumps would be coming fast, but Seven was ready. He always was. They’d trained for this, and now, they were about to test everything they’d worked on. Seven’s ears flicked forward as he responded to the faint pressure of her legs. Right, buddy, let’s do this. The feeling of speed, of control, was intoxicating. It was like nothing else mattered but the two of them, the bond they shared as they flew down the track together, wind whipping past them. She was lost in the motion, her hands firm on the reins but still giving him room to do what he did best. Then, Ricochet surged ahead, and Seven answered, pushing himself harder. The stallion wasn’t one to back down. Rosa urged him on, leaning forward slightly as they powered through the course. It was all a blur of jumps, dirt, and air. She felt herself slip into that sweet spot—perfectly balanced, perfectly in tune with the rhythm of Seven’s gallop. As Caden and Ricochet cleared the oxer and came in hot to the next jump, Rosa and Seven were right behind them. Her focus sharpened as they approached the same obstacle. Seven took it in stride, his powerful legs propelling him effortlessly over the rail. But then, Caden gasped, and for a split second, it felt like everything was hanging in the balance. She could see it—the near slip, the way Ricochet’s front legs almost buckled. Rosa's breath caught, but then Ricochet recovered, and the tension passed. Seven shifted beneath her, the stallion always ready to adjust. She felt the thrum of his heartbeat, strong and steady under her. No matter what happened around them, they were a team. And right now, with Caden and Ricochet in front, with the wind and the jumps and the pure joy of the moment, Rosa couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. She grinned, her heart full. This—this feeling—was everything. The jump, the ride, the challenge. This was why she did it, why she loved it. With Seven at her side, life felt… complete. Amazing. Perfect in its wild, wonderful chaos. She urged him forward again, and they both powered ahead, ready for whatever came next.
