Oof- sounds boring Good luck though!)) Trixie exchanged a light greeting with her friends and introduced them to him quickly. The names probably wouldn't be worth remembering. All of them looked a little tipsy and Trixie got only a little nervous. Her friends were rather new to her, but she did know one thing; tipsy girls were almost always incessantly flirty. "Do you want a drink?" She asked, slightly more quiet than before. She turned and held his gaze with the question, still holding his hand.

never ended up staying, sister took car through a puddle, hydro locked n now i've gotta pay for repairs 🤩 plus Ty spent so long creating unnecessary arguments) - Matt smiled and nodded, turning his body toward Trixie as she spoke, his gaze settling softly on her. "Sure" he said quietly, shifting from one foot to another as he listened to the other girls speak. He tilted his head as he looked at Trixie, fiddling with his shirt. "Are you..okay?" he asked thoughtfully, holding her gaze.

Ouch- talk about the opposite of fun But at least you didn't have to do the car meet? Lol)) Trixie gave him a light smile, nodding and giving a halfhearted wave to her friends as she looked around for the drinks table. She blinked at his question and turned her gaze back to him. "What? Oh, I'm fine, yeah." She nodded vaguely, giving his hand a light squeeze and offering a small smile before she turned around and started guiding him to the drinks table. She shook her head to clear her mind. Why should she be nervous? Matt had done almost nothing to insinuate he had interest in anyone but her. Then again, she wasn't the most... confident woman in the world.

oh tbh it might be the first time i've been grateful i haven't had to be around cars in so fed up loll, fuck bmw nd their stupid hydrolocking bs - Matt followed Trixie towards the drinks, his mind spinning slightly. He had no idea whether he should stay right by her side the whole night or go off with whoever paid him attention? Because usually the second option was the first, but it felt slightly different with her. "Are you sure you're okay? You seem off" he asked, scanning her with his gaze for a couple seconds. His eyes locked on a random girl behind Trixie for a split second, though that was half because he zoned out before he had managed to pull himself back to reality, and he then fully focused his attention on her. "I won't force it out of you but i will stay convinced somethings wrong all night" he added with a smile, his hand grazing hers as he leant on a counter.

Understandable lol)) "Yeah, I'm fine." Trixie nodded vaguely, offering him a small smile over her shoulder. She didn't quite catch his eyes latching onto another girl, as she was looking at the drinks table with a slight frown. There was a large crowd around the table, and she paused, turning to him as she waited for it to thin out as he spoke. There was... one question that had been nagging at her for a small while. She stood close to him, not quite chest to chest, but almost. "Alright then. Well, I don't know. You're gonna think it's a stupid question." She shrugged, holding his gaze as he brushed his hand against her.

Matt gave a slow nod at Trixies comment, deciding not to press it any further for now. He knew he'd have to take her word for it at some point, and most definitely didn't want the unnecessary arguments. As she moved closer and spoke again, Matt was unsure of whether to feel slightly scared or not, and he tilted his head a little in confusion. "I won't. What is it?" he asked, his sentence a little blunt purely for the fact it wasn't incredibly easy to hear her and was sure it wasn't that easy to hear what he was saying either.

Trixie bit her lip quietly, thinking for a moment and bracing herself for a potentially awkward situation. It was a question She had been thinking of since the first few days they had been together, but she hadn't been quite brave enough to ask. She stepped closer to him to he could hear her better, and she looked up at him quietly, an uncharacteristically nervous look in her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, hesitating, and then shut it again, swallowing. She licked her lips and tried again. "What... are we?" She asked softly, tensing slightly.

Matt raised his eyebrows slightly at Trixies question, unable to look her in the eye after she had actually finished speaking. He hadn't exactly expected her to ask such a big question, and of course as usual, that would be the time he backed down from a relationship. "I..don't know." he said quietly, fiddling with his shirt gently as he racked his brain for the right answer. Not so much the right answer as just any answer at this point. "i'm not sure we really know each other that well so..friends?" he asked, his tone genuine with the question though he regretted his words straight away.

Once she realized he was firmly avoiding her eyes, she dropped her gaze to her feet and anxiously fiddled with her fingers, nodding slowly at his first comment. She glanced up at his half answer, giving him a small smile. "Right, that makes sense. I understand. But, just friends? Because friends don't... do what we do." She offered gently.
