Aria wanted to let Sage rest, so she grabbed Caroline and they headed out towards town. She decided to grab something for Sage, so she headed into the cafe to grab him a coffee and little snack. The girl smiled to herself. She wandered through other some little shops, grabbing a few items for Caroline. She wanted another baby, but she would never push Sage that far, especially after what they are going through. She sighed in thought and walked back to castle, after peeking in the barn to say hi to Axel.

Sage slept for pretty much the entire time aria was gone. He didn't even stir when she came back into the room. He supposed sleeping was just better, since he didn't have to feel anything. He'd get better though, with time ...he always did.

Aria set all the stuff down and sighed heavily. She laid Caroline down next to Sage, knowing she could for sure comfort him. Aria had practically given up on herself.

Sage stirred slightly when Aria set Caroline down next to him and blinked his eyes open sleepily. When he saw his wife and daughter there, a soft smile drifted onto his face. 'hey," he hummed lightly, turning to wrap and arm around Caroline and make room for Aria.

When Aria saw that Sage had waken up, she smiled softly and sat down next to him, grabbing his hand softly. "When do you think the war will be here? It's been a few weeks." She said. The girl was very nervous.

Sage turned towards the girl slightly, letting Caroline sit on his chest. "I don't know," he sighed. "we were supposed to attack, but we weren't ready, so we haven't. Hopefully we can do something soon or this will de-escalate," he murmured lightly.

Caroline looked at her parents with her big blue eyes. She cooed and squealed, clapping her hands together happily. Aria smiled and held her tiny hand carefully. "I'm ready." Aria half joked, with a light chuckle. She really wasn't...

Sage hummed lightly, chuckling slightly before shaking his head again. "I just hope we can win this. I don't know what I'm doing," he groaned. "Dad never taught me what to do." He was honestly terrified...what if he did something wrong and cost people their lives? He was already making the guards fight. Some would die. It would all be on him, and that was scary. If he didn't do well, they'd all be dead. If they didn't win, he'd be executed for sure.

Aria listened to everything Sage said. "It will be okay. You'll do amazing." She promised the boy. Aria grinned happily. The girl hummed softly, and ruffled Caroline's wavy hair.

Sage hummed lightly and sighed. "I hope so," he hummed. It could get really bad really quickly in a war, and he just hoped they'd be alright. That they'd stay safe.
