Ajax let out a loud laugh at her response, shaking his head a little. He didn't really expect that, but it didn't surprise him either. But, what did surprise him- even to the point of shocking him- was that sarcastic, teasing, *I'm more mature than you* Mercy looked almost charmed and rather bubbly. He would have fainted from shock if she hadn't continued talking. "You may be confident but that won't save you here, darlin." Ajax teased, throwing on the southern accent as the frosting on the joking cake. "And you admit again I'm handsome. You are getting better." He snickered, then finished. "But I don't think so. Still, you want to bring it on- let's do it." He answered. Ajax had contemplated calling in Goose and Rooster so that it would be a fair judgement, but he quickly realized he just wanted to spend time with Mercy alone, when she was like this. So happy and carefree. Plus it was just for fun. Ajax started to walk out the door, opening it for her again by force of habit, though his eye was on the sky and the clearing. Probably already trying to calculate so he didn't crash into the trees.

He's growing up so fast *sniffle* xD))

"Oh, I'm your darling now? That's new. Not that I'm complaining." Mercy chuckled, rolling her eyes at him as he latched onto the compliment. "I call you handsome all the time, silly." She teased, smiling at him. "Let's do it." She nodded eagerly. If she could have heard his thoughts on how he wanted to be alone with her, she probably would have fainted on the spot. As much as she loved Goose and Rooster, it was nice to think he wanted to spend time with just her. She walked lightly out the door, giving him a smile as he opened it for her.

(I know. It is almost sad how fast he matures when around Mercy. LOL)

Ajax rolled his eyes a little. "Everything I said and you latch onto that? I was mostly teasing." He grinned, snorting at her second comment. "All the time may be pushing it." He mused, wandering out into the field to glance at the sky, then the treetops. "This is gonna hurt. Is there an ambulance on call for dead people?" He mumbled under his breath, hopefully too low for Mercy to hear. Turning slowly around one more time he spoke. "Okay, well let's start super easy on you. What I did before- simple barrel Role. Then we can show off our best tricks, and boom I'll have won after those two things." Ajax sauntered towards her with a joking smile.

Mercy chuckled softly at him when he spoke, not quite catching his mumble when he spoke. She followed him eagerly, smiling as he came to a stop. "A barrel roll? Come on, that's childsplay." She huffed, rolling her eyes at his last words and watching him saunter closer.

"Exactly! I don't want you to hurt yourself on the first try. That would be just terrible." Ajax smiled sweetly, flicking his wing tips and launching himself into the air. "Ladies first" He called with a grin, gesturing at the ground. Of course this was all for fun, but he had a couple hidden things up his sleeve. +oh for the love of dogs, I don't have sleeves. Fine, I have a couple tricks stored in my head+ he thought, his eyes unfocusing slightly as his brain wandered off. +but man that just doesn't sound as good+ Ajax thought slowly.

"Shut up." Mercy called playfully, launching up after him and gliding on her wings for a moment and lightly angling her wings down. There was a sort of grace about her as she turned, tucking her wings and doing a double barrel roll before catching herself on her large wings again. What was the point if she didn't outperform him?

"Aw, poor lady getting mad at a gentleman?" Ajax teased mercilessly (I really didn't mean to, I promise XD), but he was surprised and a tiny bit impressed. More grace than he could muster, for sure, but he had a special knack for being dramatic. Flying up even higher, Ajax tilted precariously and dove towards the earth. Instead of the normal roll and flip forward, he snapped his wings in and whipped around backwards, rolling to the left, right, then flipping upright again and performing an almost late backflip before heavily landing on his feet. After a second he recovered his balance and bowed, his eyes sparkling. "Now, which do you think was more impressive." He said smoothly, chuckling a little.

Mercy settled on the ground, rolling her eyes at him and his dramatic flair. "Mine. I wasn't flailing like a chicken for most of mine." She joked, walking up to him and pulling him down into a somewhat deep kiss before he could retaliate. She had to throw him out of sorts somehow, afterall.

(Mercy is getting desperate, eh? Now she is trying to cheat I see? Mm, poooor Ajax. LOL)

Ajax crossed his arms in his usual, slightly cocky way that he had lost so long ago. He found that old habits were coming back to him after all this time... but in a good way. At Mercy's words he gasped, looking offended. "I was NOT flailing around. Yours was so plain-" He sounded like he was teasingly going to continue but quickly got cut off. It was slightly amazing how Ajax could flip through the air without dying but he couldn't get pulled close to someone without almost falling over. Although he did kiss her back, since he was trying to upgrade, he seemed quite surprised.

Shhh, it's not cheating if shes just using her sway over him as an advantage xD))

Mercy seemed somewhat annoyed and also pleased by his cocky stance. It was unfortunately, kind of halfway good looking to her traitorous mind. She kept her smile until after she pulled gently away from him, only letting it out then. She liked seeing the effect she had on him. Like she had struck him dumb just by... existing. "Anyway. You can go ahead and go." She said lightly, getting on her tiptoes to press a kiss to his cheek.
