I grew up on a farm... we had our own garden, we canned, we processed our own meat. Had chickens for eggs. I can bake from scratch. We did have a washer and dryer, but clothes went out on the line in summer. We usually didn't run an AC when it was hot, just opened the windows... You know, that type of stuff... now I'm a country girl living in a city apartment... And I'm pretty lost.

Dishwashers are much more efficient on a water consuming scale, that's why we always had one at home, plus if you're not using it you can always use it for storage

Tomorrow I'm doing my laundry soak. I do use a washer and dryer, but about once a month ish, I'll toss clothes in the tub with some detergent and oxyclean and let them sit for a soak after agitating them a bit.

Y'all, don't laugh... but I just learned how to use a dishwasher as a 35 year old woman... They weren't allowed in my house when I was growing up... *I* was the dishwasher. I still prefer to wash them by hand, but we don't have the space in our current apartment.

Sage curled up with her happily once she settled down again, wrapping his arms around her snuggly. He drifted off soon enough, since he really was tired by then.

Celeste fell asleep in his arms. When she woke up it was in the very early hours of the morning, 2, maybe 3. Nausea overcame her quickly, and she didn't have enough time to get to the bathroom, she only had enough time to roll over and vomit onto the floor.

Sage slept well until the sound of Celeste rolling over to throw up woke him and he moved to run her back a bit before handing her a cloth to wipe her face and water to sip at or at least rinse out her mouth. Then he moved to clean up the floor, grateful as a vampire he didn't feel too tired waking up at 2 am.

Sage sort of moved to peck her head gently. "It's alright," he mused. "I've thrown up on you," he added, reminding her gently in a slightly amused tone. He did set the bowl by her once he got it though, and then crawled back in with her once everything was clean.

Celeste giggled lightly at the memory, despite feeling awful. She cuddled back up with Sage, tucking her head in his chest and slowly started to drift back to sleep.

Sage was relieved when she laughed...it meant she didn't feel too bad about throwing up. It was fine...she'd hit the hardwood floor so it was easy to clean. He just curled back up with her, letting himself drift off again once she was asleep.

Sage woke up a while later, around nine or so in the morning. Celeste was still sleeping peacefully, so he just relaxed there with her for a while. Just...watching her. She really was beautiful, and he was just so glad to have her.
