Sage sort of gave her a light smile in response to her peck and comment, scooting in to nestle his head on her shoulder with a content sigh. "It'll be nice to get away and relax," he admitted. "well have to plan it all out so no foals are due then or anything though," he pointed out. Anthony could feed and water and do basic care, but sage really didn't want a horse to go into labor while he was here....having to deal with that, especially if there were complications, wouldn't be fair to him. That was fine....the mares that ha dfoaled were the ones due within the next month or two, so they could get it together to spend a few days somewhere.

Mari smiled lightly to him before gently patting his head he curled in. "I'll go and book it all up tomorrow. Oh, and we can get my mother to look aft- or maybe the doctor, to look after the kids. He might like it," she chirped to him. He might be busy, but she was sure the old man would love the kids for a few days. "God, can you imagine his face? And if we came back to like ten new foals," she teased to him, but she knew for a fact they didn't even have that many foals due this year.

Sage gave her a grin and nodded happily, pecking her on the top of the head. "That sounds perfect," he mused happily before shrugging in response to her comments about the kids. "They could always switch around so they both get them too. I'm sure either of them would enjoy it," he admitted. Then he snickered at her other comments and nodded. "it would be great, though I like to be there when one of the mares starts getting antsy with popping out a mini them," he mused.

Mari smiled lightly to the boy and sort of moved to peck his forehead. "Yeah, I'd think so too. As long as Silas doesn't trash the place I'm sure they'll enjoy having them for a while," she chuckled lightly. Plus, it would be nice for the kids to spend some time with their grandparents too, she was sure if that. She smiled happily to him before sort of shrugging. "Yeah... and they know you too, having Anthony there would probably be stressful for the poor things," she chuckled lightly to him.

Sage chuckled slightly when mentioned silas's occasional....more than exuberant behavior and hummed lightly with a nod. "I'm sure he'll behave himself," he mused lightly. "He knows what's expected of him." The boy got excited, yes, but he was responsible and knew that just trashing someone else's house wasn't the way to go. Especially if the house was the doctor's ward....he knew to keep quiet then, too. But it would be good for both the kids and the grandparents to spend some time together, on both ends. And it would certainly be good for he and Mari to get away for a bit. He snorted in response to Maris comment about the mares and rolled his eyes. "They're just all so picky," he grumbled in a fond manner. "Princess won't even eat her food if there's not plenty of molasses in it." He loved them all though, even if some of them were difficult here and there.

Mari sort of hummed in thought and gave a small chuckle to him. He was a good kid, really... she thought so. But he had the energy of a bullet and the coordination of an angry bull, so it wasn't unlikely for him to break a few things her and there, but he never meant it. She pouted at him with small chuckle. "Awh, that's such a dad thing to say," she teased him softly before going to peck his nose. "But he'll be fine. And so will the horses, I'm sure," she mused lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment about his comment and threw her an amused but also fond look. "That's because I'm his dad," he noted with amusement. "I'm gonna act like it," he chuckled. "But everything will work out alright," he agreed happily, shrugging and then moving to cuddle up a little bit more, resting his head on her shoulder with a content sort of sigh. "I'm looking forward to getting away for a bit," he admitted. "It's been a long time since we've been able to just relax for a few days."

Mari smiled lightly to him before sort of moving to peck his lips again. "I know, it's still odd to think that we're actually like... adults," she mused softly. They'd had Silas nearly six years now, and Liz was nearly four now. It was just odd to think all of that had happened so long ago. She smiled and nodded in agreement. Things would all be just fine, she was more than sure about that. She smiled and moved to run her hand through his hair when he settled on her shoulder. "I just think it'll be nice to do something different," she chirped happily.

Sage groaned and nodded. "It's hard to believe I wasn't an adult before," he snorted lightly, remembering how he'd had to act like one for a long time before he'd actually like...become 18 or whatever the legal age was adult was. "time has flown," he agreed with a hum though, grinning over at her when she pecked his lips and then settled im happily when he felt her run her fingers through his hair. It was definitely a nice thing to feel, he supposed. Relaxing. "Anything we come up with will be fun," he hummed happily. "Except maybe deciding to have you give birth naturally twice over. That part stunk," he noted with amusement. The kids that had come out of it had been nothing but wonderful, though.
