"Yeah, yeah, whatever," she rolled her eyes, flopping back down on her bed.

Kai began noticing the little things-- how her smile glowed and her eyes were dotted with mischief--and he loved it. "You have such pretty eyes" He blurted, cheeks turning red as he blushed. Get ahold of yourself, Kai! Geez! He thought, not looking at her drop-dead gorgeous eyes any longer

Lorelei looked up at him. She hadn't thought he'd say something like that. "Oh, uh- thanks," she smiled.

"Never mind...well, not never mind, but just I didn't mean- Well- I-" He stuttered, not looking at her but instead his hands with a confused expression

"Oh... okay,"

"Sorry" He muttered, climbing off her bed. "I'm gonna head home. Sorry for bothering you." He said softly, giving her an apologetic smile before driving home

"Okay.... bye," she replied, rather confused on why he'd left so fast.

Kai banged his head on his steering wheel a bit, careful not to honk whatsoever. He sighed, peeling out of her driveway and going around a roundabout just to come back. He walked through the unlocked door, smiling apologetically again. "Could I...stay here for the night?" He asked quietly

Lorelei changed into her pajamas while he was gone, but soon, he came back. "Uh- sure? But you're gonna hafta sleep on the couch or something," she replied. He was a bit weird. Two times he'd tried to leave and came back.

"Well, I wasn't gonna ask to sleep with you." He teased, rolling his eyes. "Thank you" He said, smiling gently at her before striding to the couch and flopping down
