Zephyr laughed a little. "It's always confusing. Plus, I'm confusing." He paused and went to retrieve his ball. "Like this." He showed her, holding it with two hands with one mostly under the ball and one slightly on the side.

Sophia grinned "sure. Trust me... I'm confusing. Don't try to take art lessons from me" She positioned her hands on the basketball like he did. "And now I just throw it?" She looked over at him with a questioning look in her eyes.

Zephyr looked actually happy for the first time in a while. "I could take art lessons from Leonardo Da Vinci and still be terrible." He snorted, then nodded. "Push your arms upward to give it lift, and aim towards the basket." He instructed with a wry smile on the last comment.

"I don't believe you. I can teach you. Just give me a few minutes after this." Sophia tried to throw the ball but it missed badly. "I can rope a bull but I can't do this" she ran after the ball, doing a terrible dribble before holding it and going back to the line Zephyr had told her to stand on before.

Zephyr grinned a little. "I wish you luck. You should believe me. By the end of your attempted lesson you'll either be pulling your hair out or violently trying to punch me." He snorted before watching her throw, a small smile twisting the side of his lips up. "I already see your problem. You let the ball roll off your wrist, so your aim is off and you don't get as much power. Keep your wrist stiffer, and try again." He said, then added, "And then you can attemp to teach me how to draw, if you want.":

Sophia giggled. She threw it again but it still missed. "I give up" she shrugged then snorted at his next comment. "I want to see how bad your drawing is. Either you can learn to draw or I can teach you to bat. Either way. You are learning something" she joked

Zephyr chuckled a little as she missed again, though not by far. He went, retrieved the ball, stood in the same place as her, and threw an all-net hoop. "Takes practice." He commented before turning to her. "No, you really don't, but I give in." He paused before grinning. "Sketching would help me become a more sophisticated person in general." He stated with a strong British accent.

"Pick one" she said with a chuckle "drawing or batting. I am good at both, though there is still a TON of room for improvement on my part" Sophia took the ball from him in a calm I-want-to-try-again way and threw it. It hit the rim then flew off to the side. She ran to it, grabbing it and sitting on the bleachers. Her legs were a little tired from the short laps her coach made them run, but she had done far worse.

Zephyr smiled a little. "Drawing. Because I bet I could probably learn to bat, but I can't learn to draw." He joked with a chuckle, nodding slightly at her *room for improvement* thing. "There's always room for improvement." He stated with a grin as her basketball went to the side. "Much closer." He sounded impressed. "You're getting better quickly. I bet you'd get it soon." He commented before walking over.

Sophia stood back up then jogged back to Zephyr. "One more time and I'm done. My parents are going to be calling me wondering where I am soon..." she shook her head. "I'll teach you to draw tomorrow at lunch. No getting away from me now. This is probably why Blake is stuck with me all the time" she rolled her eyes before putting her hands the same way Zephyr had told her to. "Ok. Help me... please... so that maybe I can ACTUALLY make it" she had suddenly remembered that he was- or used to be- one of the popular kids and that she was just a nobody. She gulped slightly and fixed her eyes on the net.
