Audrey was hesitant about letting the merman she barely knew help her search for the pendant, but she was losing hope. If he was the last resort to find it, she'd allow his help. "Okay" she nods. "I lost a pendant... a very important pendant" she explains. "I might have lost it here in the market yesterday" she adds, "but I'm not sure"

Al pressed his lips together, "hmm, I can't walk on land but I will search around the dock, if you want" he said

Audrey nods, "that would be great, thank you" she then continues to search around the market

Al ducks under the water, glad to be under the surface again. He lazily slid between the poles of the Dock, looking around, his eyes cutting through the dark. Looking for a pendant. Al swam a little further and was greeted by the twinkling of jewellery. Al blinked and covered on eye with his arm "wow.. that's bright" he blinked twice, getting used to the glimmer and looked at the light source, a pile of shiny jewellery. Al snorted, bubbles spraying from his gills, before a sick looking Merman arose from behind the pile, black eyes and sickly looking skin, his scales a odd gray-blue colour. "Oh, you have to be kidding me" Al growled. The merman threw his arms up, "Welcome! Prince Aalton! My favourite Nephew!" Al growled again, he didn't have time for this. His uncle was banished from the kingdom because of his sick mind, and his Uncle got it easy. Normally banished merman or mermaids were sent from the water and never to return, but his uncle was a Royal, so they couldn't kick him out. Al gave a thin smile, most definitely not the friendly type. "Hello Uncle Rift" he said, his Uncle approached, his gaze raking over Al, "My, your starting to look much like your father, but you have your mothers eyes, and if I may say, my face shape" Al clenched his teeth, "I am nothing like my Father or you" He gritted out through his clenched teeth, but his uncle ignored him. "You know, your mother would have been mine if my parents didn't banish me" he carried on, Al eyed the pile behind his Uncle. "I need something" he said, pushing down the anger about his uncle talking about his mother like that, so.. greedily. His uncle looked at him, "Oh?" He swung around to look at the pile, "something from there?" His eyes turned angry, "ah, no" he said, Al rushed at him, a dagger in each hand, prepared to fight him, he had never liked his uncle anyway. His uncle swung at him with his clawed hands, ripping the uncovered flesh on his arm, blood flowing in the water. Al growled and wrestled with his uncle, who was surprisingly strong. The sick merman laughed as Al managed to stab him, in the abdomen. His Uncle turned and pushed Al, Als back hitting the bottom of the Dock, making it snap and bend, a loud crashing sound coming from it.

With no luck on finding her pendant after hours of searching, Audrey wondered if the merman had found her pendant. She carefully approached the water's edge. She the searched the surface, seeing if the merman had found it yet. Maybe he ditched her, he would have been up by now, right? Stupid fish, always going back on their words. She knew he couldn't have been trusted. What if he had already found her pendant and swam off. Audrey cursed under her breath.

Al raged, his back was covered in large cuts from the broken wood of the dock, his Uncle scratched at him again, this time marking his face. "You really think you can come here, bearing your fathers face and take my treasure?!" His Uncle roared, Al swam forward, "I. Am. Not. Him." He said, anger taking control of his body. Al bared his shark like teeth and ripped into his Uncle arm, tearing it off. His powerful tail curled around and hit his uncle flat on the chest. Al turned to see sharks starting to come towards them, all the blood must have attracted them but thankfully the sharks knew not to mess with the merman. Al stabbed at his uncle again and again, till his uncle went still. Al backed off the body, guilt bloomed across his chest, he had killed many people, but it never changed. Because what made him think he had the right to take away someone's life? Over a pendant?. Al turned away from his uncle bleeding carcass and rummaged through the pile, once he had collected a handful of pendants he swam up to the surface, wincing at the broken dock. He saw the elf waiting for him and swam up to her, keeping his head under the water, till she noticed him.

Audrey was about to nod off when a movement alerted her. She looked down at the water where she saw the hand. Had the merman found the pendant? Hope surged through her chest. Squinting she made out the figure in the water... along side red? Was he bleeding? She flicked the water in response. "You okay?" she asks into the water, trying to hide the worry in her voice. She didn't care about a stranger, why would she care? Looking around, she noticed the broken dock. "What happened?" she asks, worry starting to seep through in her voice.

Al surfaced, the scratches on his face oozed blood. Al nodded, "I am fine" he said, unsure why the elf was asking about his state. "I killed my uncle, he had these pendants" he looked over at the broken dock, "sorry about that" he said, biting his lip. He held out his hand and dumped the pendants on the ground, allowing her to look through them. "If it dropped in the water my uncle would have been sure to collect it" he said, rubbing his bleeding back.

Audrey dropped to the pile he put on the ground. Searching around she found her pendant. Picking it up she smiled at the merman. "Thank you... I never caught your name" she said, gratitude showing in her gaze. He killed his uncle? How dangerous was this merman? Did he have a target on his back? She ignored the mention of the broken dock, it wasn't a big issue. But those thoughts disappeared when Audrey saw his injured face. She took the merman's face into her hands instinctively. She was careful to not touch his wounds. She then removed them, realizing her action. "I can clean your wounds for you" she offers, looking away. "I can go grave some cotton swabs, disinfectant, and bandages. If you wait I can tend to your wounds" she offers, feeling bad that she was the cause of the wounds, that he got hurt helping her.

Al nodded, and paused. She wanted to know his name, that could lead to uncovering his indentity, but he had a nickname, it should be alright. "Al" he said, "yours?" Al watched as she lifted her hands, his cheeks heated when she held his head in her hands, he had never had a woman do so, even on his one night stands. Nothing was ever as caring as this. Al chewed the side on his mouth, "alright, I will wait" he said, he couldn't return back to the castle looking like this.
