Abby wanted to push it away and worry more about her horse... HER horse... but the cold was pushing every other thought away. "Ok..." she said, wrapping it around herself. "Thank you" she gave him a slight smile and stared at Sun

Ryker was glad she took it, because truthfully she did look awfully cold. "You're welcome." He answered quietly, shuddering slightly as a cold breeze blew in the barn door. He walked over to stand by Serpant's stall, indecisive about what to do. He wasn't going to leave Abby until he knew she was going back to her house/cabin to get warm, and he didn't want to leave until he knew the mare was okay, but it felt weird just standing here.

Abby stood back from Sun as she calmed down. She looked over at Ryker. "Are you ok?" She asked, standing in front of him.

Ryker leaned heavily up against the stall door, his eyes wanting to drift close but the pain keeping him from doing that. His ribs hurt even more than his leg did, probably because Abby had managed to get lost more than half a mile into the brush. As she spoke he lifted his head slightly, attempting to look awake and alive. "Yeah.. I'm fine. Or will be fine." He answered, casting his gaze back towards the ground afterward.

"are you hurt?" Abby watched him. Sun shook her head with a snort

Ryker knew she MOST likely wouldn't give up, unless he refused to answer for a very long time which was 1) disrespectful and 2) he didn't have the energy. "I got hurt, about a week ago. 3 broken ribs and a clawed up leg. It still throbs a little, but it'll be fine." He answered, looking at the dapple grey mare and again feeling relief she had come easily.

Abby gasped "so that is why the ambulance was here earlier this week?" She touched his shoulder, immediately pulling back, remembering that Gavin would kill her if she did anything remotely close to cheating. She was lucky that she did pull away because he marched through the double doors of the barn. "You said a break. I didn't think you would mean cheating on me in the process!" He pointed to the jacket on her back and grabbed it, ripping it off of her and throwing it on the ground. Sun squealed again and backed up, her ears pinned. Gavin gave her a shove by her shoulder and yelled "I thought you were going to call me like... yesterday or today! Not this! ABBY!"

Ryker flinched away a little as her hand lifted to touch his shoulder, his head lowering slightly. "Yes." he answered, the rest of it cut short by someone storming through the barn doors. Serpant reared in his stall, surprised, letting out a loud neigh. Ryker immediately looked angry, for one becasue this GAVIN guy was SCARING the horses and for two because he was treating Abby terribly. "She isn't cheating. Unlike you she was being concerned about someone who is hurt! And you can't come charging in here and disturb the horses- they'll hurt themselves if they are surprised!" He snapped, his fuses burning short as he stepped forward. "You can't just walk in here like you own the place because you don't. Abby is not your property- if you want her to stay with you maybe you should try treating her like a human being and not a piece of garbage! That includes not shoving her for no reason." He growled, and although he heated physical contact Ryker gave Gavin his own shove on the shoulder, glaring.

Abby stepped back, her eyes wide as Ryker fought for her. Gavin growled, his fist opening and closing with anger. "She is dating ME not YOU! Leave us alone!" When Gavin grabbed her, she gave out a loud gasp, pulling away and even reaching out for Ryker as Gavin pulled her toward his truck. Her eyes were wide with horror. All of the warmth was stripped from her when he had pulled her once more. She was too cold to fight back, so she calmly walked with him, but she looked back at Ryker, begging him with her expressions.

Ryker's eyes narrowed, his dark blue gaze glittering angrily. "By the looks of it she doesn't want to date a giant oaf like you." He hissed, not even thinking about how much it would hurt if Gavin decided to punch back. "Can you not even tell she doesn't want to be around you?" Ryker stepped forward, his fists curling. He was most definitely the kind of guy with a little bit of bark... and a lot of bite. Within a second he swung his fist, making contact with Gavin's face, almost hearing a Crack. "Whoops. But I hope that hurt. Now you have the slightest feeling of how she feels when you drag her around like a sack of potatoes." He growled, limping forward and shoving Gavin away from Abby.
