Ella's smile grew slightly at the mention of the horses, and she gave a rather enthusiastic nod, her gaze settling in the direction of the stables which she could see in the misty distance, across a small field of snow. "Of course. You've really never been close to a horse?" She asked, titling her head as they changed course slightly towards the barn. She scraped a small snowflake off the sleeve of her jacket, then scraped her hair away from her face. She loved horses perhaps a little too much, and the thought of finally being able to spend at least some time with them again made her excited.

He grinned happily when she seemed excited to go see the horses, and he trotted along beside her happily. He shook his head in response to her comments, humming slightly. "I grew up in the lower alum section of the village....no one could afford a horse and if we found one it was good since meats so scarse down there," he informed her. "Then once I got here I've prettya much just been in the one room." He shrugged slightly, not really able to feel down about it since he was so excited to see the horses. He'd always admitted them....and he really was excited to see them up close finally.

Ella nodded in acknowledgement to Sages words, slowing as they neared the barn. She turned to look at the large brown building, the same smile displayed on her face. "Well i'm sure you could come with me whenever i'm not busy. To see the horses I mean" she said quietly, waiting for him to pass into the stables through the door before her. She peered round at the horses poking their heads over the low cut stable doors, her eyes fixating on whichever horse moved.

Sage grinned happily at her words and nodded as they entered the barn, nose twitching at the smell of the hay and the animals. It smelled good, he thought. He sort of waddled down the barn line, peering at every horse in awe. He stopped by a stall towards the back of the barn, by a big black stallion, which leaned over the stall door to snuffle at his face. It really only made his grin wider, and he reached over to stroke the horses head happily. He didn't see an owners name of the stall...or a horse name for that matter. He was pretty though, and nice. And he couldn't help but be ever so excited about it all.

i've gotten out other RP mixed up with this one so many times and had to delete what i was writing :")) - Ella left Sage to it for a little while and wandered around the other part of the stables a little round the corner. After a couple minutes she stopped by a breathtakingly gorgeous light bay mare, with a star stamped right in the moddle of her forehead. From what she could see, the mare didn't have an owner or a name, though she was careful to touch the horse just incase the information was somewhere else.

(haha, I feel that) Sage had pretty much forgotten that Ella was there, he was just so happy to be out and about. And...well, the horse was just really big and cool and definitely pretty. He was friendly too, and continued to jose about at him, earning some laughter and more pats. Probably what the horse was looking for, and sage was more than happy to stand there and stroke him as the big guy turned to munch on his hay that was stacked in the corner. He was certainly happy with how the day had gone....he even forgot about the cold for a good long while as he stayed there happily. He noticed the sun starting to go down soon enough, and patted the horse one last time before wandering over to find ella. "If youw nat to walk back while there's still daylight, we have to go," he hummed quietly.

Sages voice certainly made Ella jump, and she shot him a slightly irritated look though she replaced it with a smile rather quickly. "Probably a good idea." She said quietly, taking her hand away from the light bay after a couple more seconds, starting off round the corner and out the barn. She didn't exactly have anything to say and so they walked in silence as they crosssed the small field toward the palace, and she only spoke up once the large doors were in sight. "Would you want to go to the barn more often?" she asked, her strong english accent coming through quite fast seeing as she hadn't spoke in a while.

Sage half jumped when she jumped, half leaning away from her in response to her glare out of habit, though relaxing soon enough and nodding in response to her comments. "I made a few friends down here," he hummed happily. "It's certainly a nicer environment than elsewhere in the castle," he admitted, ambling along beside her, though now he was starting to get really cold. Probably shouldn't have stayed out this long. Oh well.

Ella nodded in agreement, watching the snow fall over her shoes as she walked into a slightly deep part right before the doors. "Definitely. As you can imagine, getting stopped by people all the time purely because i'm the..queen or whatever is tragic. I definitely prefer standing with animals" she smiled, her voice going a bit quiet at the word 'queen.' She in no way liked referring to herself as that, it felt so formal and she was so young. It was almost scary. As they neared her room she turned to Sage, giving a long exhale. "You really should get new clothes" she said, with a slightly playful tone, heading into the chambers rather quickly.

Sage hummed in agreement with her comments and grunted. "I can't say my line of work is any better than being a king or queen, but I certainly would not want to rule a country," he decided with a slight note of amusement to his voice. He chuckled slightly at her comment about clothes, more than happy to get back into the warm room and curl up in the corner under the blanket. "As nice as that would be, that's not really a choice I get to make," he noted with a shrug.
