Kennedy leg started to bounce under the table, she was getting a bit upset about having to remember everything that she had gone through to get where she was today. When Caden spoke her gaze was sill focused on her hands that were still fidgeting, she was listening though so she nooded in agreeance "Yeah they shouldn't... One messed up town they were..." Kennedy said quietly. When Caden reached over and squeezed her hand she looked at his for a second before giving a smalll squeeze back and finally bringing her, now teary, gaze up to him with a small smile. "Thank you Caden... That means a lot to me" Kennedy spoke softly and quietly to him. She gave his hand one last squeeze before he pulled it away, her leg had stopped bouncing by then but her hands were still a bit fidgety

Caden said " anything for you and if there anything you need just ask gladly help out " as he smiles softly before the waiter came and said " what would you like to drink and eat I don't have all day " caden looks at her and said " I'll take water " before looking back at Kennedy he couldn't help but wonder why he cared so much about her like he did with his mom which he missed her very much and wishes his mother could have been alive to see him being a detective but he really doesn't know if she would be happy about that even being here and trying to solve cases even hers

Kennedy smiled more brightly this time at Cadens words, she found it comforting how much he cared for her already and quite honestly she really would go to him for help unlike anyone else. "Thank you again Caden, I'll definitely come to you whenever I need anything" She said with a small sniff before wiping her teary gaze as the waitress came up. "I'll have a tea" Kennedy said before looking back over at Caden "So why did you become a detective" She asked with a small tilt of her head

Caden nods and said " your welcome Kennedy " before hearing that and he sighed it was a hard question for him to answer but he had to caden said " well... I first found of about being a detective when my mom and I was play a game call a jump move since we go from hotel to hotel until " he paused for a while then continue " a guy next door complain about the noise since we were poor we didn't have a house to live in and we had to say in hotels and my mom had to bring the guys how hired her to our hotel until she got a different hotel for that I remember the one person who was the only person who was nice to my mom was detective Henry Mcgraw from LAPD and NYPD he was retired. I always hidden in the bathroom but one night my mom never showed up at my hotel so I took off walking down the road and see cops cars now it was in the middle of the night" caden stops and looks down " I became a detective for my mother sake to being her justice when no one did for her I was about to the crime scene when the same detective stopped me and told me 'you don't want to see her like this kid it was pretty bad ' then I knew who it was he was talking about " as caden felt like crying at the moment but didn't

Kennedy listened to Caden silently, she felt really bad for him. For one it must have already been hard hopping from hotel to hotel and two, to lose your mother at such a young age really hurts. "I'm so sorry that's how you found out about your mother Caden... I'm pretty sure your mother would be proud of you for wanting to get justice for her and she would be proud of how good your doing" She said softly to him before taking another slow breath. Kennedy saw the clouded gaze in Cadens eye as if he was about to let tears out, she reached over and grabbed his hand and brushing it with her htumb gently "I promise I will do anything to help you solve your moms case so that you don't feel like becoming a detective was a complete waste" Kennedy said softly while offering a warm smile

Caden watches her hand before saying " thanks Kennedy you are going to be a true friend to me " before sighing and said " all I knew was the case I didn't see how badly my mom was until I became one and her file showed up on my desk and I saw he was right it was messed up " as he sighed and looks down before saying " but there was this guy I remembered I can picture him anywhere but he looks very familiar like I knew him " as he looks back at her then said " I never knew my dad people say I was a mistake child I baby that shouldn't have been born to a life like this but I don't believe that"

Kennedy nodded with a small smile "You will be the same to me" She said before Caden spoke again. She listened quietly to him and continued to hold his hand for awhile until she finally pulled it away. "I don't believe that either, I am glad you were born whether planned or not" Kennedy said with another smile then brought her gaze down and away from Caden for a moment to think about why she cared so much, if it was anybody else she'd shrug and move on but him it was different "I'm sorry to ask but did you ever think your dad might be a suspect in her case?" She asked a bit hesitantly

Caden looks down and said " my dad I never knew him my mom never talked about him. I believe she possibly got pregnant on a hire job and that how I came to be but she knew told me who my father was if he was around my pictures he was probably cut out " then sighed and said " but I could possibly believe that my dad could have something to do with it hire to kill maybe " as he looks back at her and plays with his own hands he really didn't like talking about his dad but it was true he didn't know him a all Caden said " but I always can do a DNA test and find out that way "

Kennedy nodded as she listened to Caden speak, everything he said made sense on why he wouldn't know who his father was. "Yeah it probably could've been a hire kill.." She said while thinking about different things all at once. Kennedy noticed Caden begin to play with his hands and it finally hit her maybe they should move on from the subject "Well you can do a DNA test only if you want too cause theres so many other suspects out there... Uh anyway what are we going to do when we get back and still don't have the warrant?" Kenendy asked quickly

Caden smiles and said " yeah everyone is a suspect and can't leave anyone out " before thinking about the case that came in and then said " hmm I don't know maybe bring in the guy who her husband said to us about " as he sighed before saying " and maybe the Warrent might be on my desk by the time we are back" as the waiter came up and handed the drinks before saying. " sorry sir but you have a call that came in " caden said " why didn't they call my phone "
