Tyler looked at Sierra for a moment. He knew her well enough that he knew if he refused... she would annoy him till he died. He ran a hand through his hair, making a face. "And what am I supposed to do, oh bored princess." He snorted, rolling his shoulders. He racked his brain for any possible way of entertaining a princess... and came up blank. If you asked him to do math, if you asked him to herd cattle, if you asked him to do anything that did not involve young women, he could give you a very helpful answer. When it came to this... his brain just went 'ehhhhh...nope.'

Sierra thought for a moment, "I prefer your Highness" She said, quietly laughing. "Well, I don't know just do something.." Sierra looked around at the book cases, Keeping her eyes off of Tyler who still looked as intimidating as ever... There were a lot of books in this library, Most of them were topics Sierra disliked, Basically all of the books, A small portion actually interested her, She scooted closer to Tyler waiting for him to come up with something, "Hurry up" She said jokingly, as if being pushy- even if she actually was a bit pushy, She was making an effort.

Tyler frowned slightly. This was not.. his strong point. "The seller said: I've owned this car for fifteen years and never had a wreck. The buyer said: You mean you've owned this wreck for fifteen years and never had a car." Tyler tentatively started, knowing if it was anything with conversation... jokes were his strong point. Obviously not that strong, especially with .. new people. He shifted his weight, trying to read her expression on how stupid the joke was. "It takes around 1,500 bolts to put together a car, but only one nut to scatter it all over the road." He murmured, almost nit even saying it to anyone. Tyler snapped back into the present and got ready to Be offended by her merciless teasing about his terrible jokes. - (I have to get to bed.. it's 2 AM where I am. I should probably at least TRY to get some sleep XD. See ya!) Edited at April 12, 2023 01:58 AM by Wild Warmbloods

She paused for a moment And then started laughing, "Oh my god those jokes are so bad they're funny" She choked out while continuing to laugh, After she calmed down she tried to think of something to do...She looked at the book next to her and then looked at Tyler, "Those jokes are horrible." She said flatly, Yes, He did manage to crack her up, Which was pretty unexpected yet Sierra did find those jokes terribly funny. Sierra then unexpectedly grabbed the book she had been reading and tossed it with all force at Tyler, She was sure he'd catch it quite easily, and if he did, she'd keep throwing books until she hit him. Jen let a very small smile cross his face or a moment. "Works of art." He muttered, looking at the ceiling with a sigh. Yes, they were horrible... but part of making people laugh is finding what kind of funny they like. Apparently he found it for her. So stupid it was hilarious. He looked up and saw a big red book flying at him... and tried to decide whether to duck or catch. That was a very hard decision but he still reached out a hand and caught it in midair, trying to think how much it would hurt if that big thing hit his chest. Tyler looked at her, a glare in his eyes. "Don't. I'm a human, not a target."

She was mildly impressed by Tyler's reflexes, Although what else would be expected of a bodyguard? She rolled her eyes, "See that's where your wrong, Believe it or not, I do not see the difference-" Sierra smiled, Tyler was somehow keeping her entertained, Which was by talking to her general- Sierra could be quite lonely, well- She's almost always lonely, She wished there were other people in the castle beside her, So she'd have someone to talk to- She was almost willing to talk to anyone but her father, After a quick reliving of an old memory she moved one of the books aside and grabbed the one previously under it that was a larger book with what looked like over 300 pages, She then tossed it at Tyler, Hopeful that she'd hit him.

Tyler opened his mouth to say something before he saw her grab yet another book. He yelped as the book hit his chest, being preoccupied with replying. "Ow- really- why-" he muttered, grabbing the book and chucking it at a book case with enough force to knock half the books off of it. He clenched his fists, glad that the book only knocked four books off instead of forty.

Right when the book hit Tyler she started laughing, "Because... I can. So why not? Plus I'm bored." She watched as Tyler threw the book, "Now I have to put those books back too, Gee thanks!" She did feel a bit frightened at the moment, Scared Tyler would throw it at her in return, Sierra stood up and walked over to the window that overviewed the back of the castle, After recalling her recent memories, She decided to ask Tyler another question, "Have you slept?" It hadn't occurred to her at the time, But from what she's seen Sierra didn't know if he had slept at all.

Tyler clenched his jaw for a moment before taking a breath. "No, I haven't. I'm fine.. although I do know you don't care." He muttered, stepping back outside the library. He grit his teeth, trying to rid himself of the pain in his chest. If only she knew why that had hurt so bad... his mind drifted off to the memory. It was Tyler's turn to go brand cattle. He yawned, having been up early, but walked out with his younger brother, Chad. They caught a cow.. and that's when everything went wrong. The mother charged, aiming at Chad. Tyler cried a warning, knowing it was too late. He leapt out in front of the raging cow, her horns smashing his ribs in and making him scream in agony... then black out. When he woke up Chad was dead... and it was all his fault... Tyler shook his head, trying not to think of that horrible day. He felt tears pricking his eyes for the first time since that day... grief welled up inside of him, not just because his ribs were shooting jolts of pain through him now. Because he had failed his brother... Edited at April 12, 2023 08:09 PM by Wild Warmbloods
