Sage crawled into the room and shut the door behind him, grateful and pleasantly surprised that the house had secret rooms. He curled up in the corner, clapping a hand over his mouth to stop his scared yelp from coming out when he heard their voices yelling. He stayed quiet though, thankfully.

Annie goes over and hugs him scared she was shaking Cassandra watches them before bring pinned and said " you hiding something Cass " Cassandra shakes her head and puts the dagger blad at his heart and he backs off before the guards said " he not here " leader said " must escape and ran off " Cassandra bods and said " yeah and your wasting you time here " they all left but not for the guy and Cassandra said " get out you need not see her she doesn't even know who her father is "

Sage was surprised when the girl came over to hug him but after a moment of surprise wrapped his own arms around the girl. It seemed to calm him a bit, though he was still nervous. He heard the leader leave, but someone was still there, and he tensed, ready to help if needed. She didn't sound happy, and she may have just saved his life so....he did want to help.

Annie heard noise before going and ran to them and said " stop it she doesn't want you " Cassandra said " daughter go room now " Annie froze as the guy picked her up and said " what a beautiful girl she is I might just take her you don't need her " Cassandra said" no you leave her here with me you did nothing but ruin my life by coming back " the guy smiles and said " you hear mommy she said that you ruined her life" Cassandra said " no Annie is the best thing happened to me but her father is a monster " Annie started crying and said " put me down"

Sage was surprised when the girl ran off, and after a moment he followed her, but more quietly than the girl. His back stiffened at the man's obviously rudeness and then whipped around to look for a weapon when he refused to give Cass her daughter back. He found a gun and grabbed it, stepping into sight and cocking the gun, aiming it between the man's eyes. "I suggest you put the girl down," he hummed dangerously.

Cassandra looks at sage before the guy puts her down and Annie ran to Cassandra and crys Cassandra holds her and said " shhhh is okay he won't us " Annie said " I don't want him to hurt you mommy " the guy chuckles and said " you got the guts to shot me and go back in to jail that nice so go ahead shot " Cassandra said " I think it might be best you leave without a word if not then I'll kill you " the guy laughs and said " you can even stomach the slight of me so how could you kill me "

Sage snorted at the man's comments. "What do you think I was in for," he huffed, rolling his eyes as if he was annoyed. "Look, I really don't care if you die or not, but I don't think it would be good hospitality to ruin the carpet. Blood stains, and guns have a tendency to, ya know, splatter your head everywhere," he noted, not much emotion in his voice. "So you can leave and never come back, of you can get your head blown up " he shrugged, not really caring. "Though I will say, I'd enjoy the second option more."

The guy said " I have every right to see my child and I'll will talk to the king about that" before he walks away and slams the door behind him Cassandra hugs Annie tight and said " he won't have the chance to " before looking at sage and said " now we got to get you out of here or they would find out I do have you " as she looks at him in the eyes before looking away and said " thank..you " before she walks into Annie room and set her on the bed before saying " you okay little one " Annie nods and said " yes mommy I am okay " Cassandra smiles and changes Annie clothes

Sage sighed and looked at the gun for a long while once they left before putting the safety back on and setting it into the table, collapsing onto a couch with a groan. They knew he was there now...he should have stayed hidden. No, he should have killed him. Shot him dead, before anyone could react. But Annie would have seen it. He growled in frustration. He had to leave, he knew that...but where would he go? And would Cass be safe? Why did he even care?

Cassandra said " that nice dress you got on let's show sage " Annie nods and ran towards sage and hops on the couch with sage and said " do you like my dress " as Annie forgot every thing she didn't need to remember that Cassandra walks put and leans against the wall and smiles before wonder if he would be okay or does we need to go with him to make sure of that Cassandra sighed and through - why do I care about him I shouldn't I never care for men"
