Covid... :/ )) Madrigal snorted, and then laughed. It was freeing. It had been so long since she had had the type of companionship where she could laugh and joke around. "Okay bud, calm down," she shook her finger at him but grinner. "You're right. We need packs, keepable food, water skins, extra layers. We'll find pelts along the way; hopefully there will be plenty of game to hunt. Boots, blankets.... Anything else?"

(Ah, yes. I've had it a couple times. Hope ya feel better soon!) He grinned cheekily at her and then thought for a second. "If we're going to need to hunt we'll need something to start a fire. Flint and steel. And some form of snowshoe would probably come in useful."

It's pretty shit innit XD)) "Yes, true true true. Okay, we'll get the stuff over the next day or so? We can get smaller things this morning, come back here and take stock, and get the rest this afternoon this evening. The night market is on today, so that's super convenient for us. " Madrigal ticked things off on her fingers. "This could go a few ways. We steal everything today and run, but if we did that there is a chance of the guards wisening up and cracking down on security today. If that happened, we could just run with what we have and stop by another town or settlement on the way. However, they might not do anything until tomorrow, in which case we can get most of it and leave without much standing in our way. We could also take things over a few days, but the same things could happen: they might either crack down really fast or take no notice for a while. There is always theft, so they might not notive it rising over such a short amount of time."

(yeah I agree completely) Sage thought for a second. "I can take care of the guards before we go in. If we steal everything tomorrow, with them out of the picture, I think that would work best." He had no intention of killing the guards, though. He had other ideas.

Madrigal nodded slowly, eyeing Sage warily. She wasn't sure what he meant when he said he would "take care of the guards", but she trusted that he wasn't a 'kill em and leave em' kind of guy. "Okay, that's a good idea." She pulled a chair back from the table and slumped down with a sigh. "We need a map," she said, the realisation hitting her. She could think of a handful of places that might hold them, but she didn't know for sure. But she could picture it in her mind, even without a map before her. She'd had to navigate her way across the harsh terrains before, and during her training she'd been forced to memorise all of the popular routes. Even with that knowledge, she could only get them so far. They'd need a map, and a good plan, to get to where they wanted to go. Madrigal rested her head in her hands, her elbows digging into the table, and groaned. She hadn't felt this excited in a long time, and she could feel her patience slipping. She mentally curled an iron fist around it and squeezed, her training kicking in.

Sage grunted. "So add a good map to the list of things we need." He sat down in a chair and sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He felt like he hasn't rested at all last night, even though he had gotten a few hours. But then again he had spent most of the night running around so that probably cancelled out the rest he had gotten. He put his hand down and tapped his fingers on the table, thinking. "Get the most detailed and accurate map. If it's on paper I can trace it into a dried animal skin so it won't get destroyed the first time we get wet."

Madrigal flashed her friend a thumbs up. "Genius." An idea came to mind. "We can do a store reconnaissance today. Go out and plan what we'll get from where. And, if we see anything that might not be there tomorrow, we take it.

Sage grinned and nodded, cracking his knuckles and making sure his dagger was secure in it's hidden sheath. "I like how you think."

Madrigal grinned. This guy was super cool. She ran a hand over her pinned braid, tucking back any fly-aways. "Right, let us head off then," she said, pushing her chair into the table and heading for the door. She flipped the hood of her cloak over her head, ignoring the heat of the day. Soon, drops of sweat were running down her back and face. But she savoured the heat, for they would soon be in a terrain that would test their abilities to keep warm.

He grinned and strode out the door. "Oh hell yeah. Time to cause some trouble." He shook his head slightly so his hair blew in front of his eyes and covered his face like he always did. He turned to her. "Hey, could I maybe cause extra trouble tomorrow since we're leaving?"
