Sage let out a soft breath and shook his head, not knowing how to phrase it all. "How you can stand to live with a monster," he finally murmured, staring at the ceiling, memory flashing kill after koll through his mind. "How you can trust me with a child."

"That's why. You doubt others' safety around you so much that I don't believe you could hurt me. Or our child." She said, her hand moving on it's own accord to her stomach

Sage just shook his head with a sigh. "But I've hurt so many people. Killed them, without a care in the world," he noted, sitting up and looking over at her, frowning. "I just blew someones brains out all over my kitchen and laughed," he breathed out. "There's something wrong with me," he noted, honeslty scared of himself. (heading off now)

k) "No, there's not." She said, placing a hand on his cheek and smiling softly at him. She searched his eyes for any sort of relief, but she saw none. "Handsome, if you really love me, do me a favor and forgive yourself. Please." She begged, wanting for him to not be in pain

Sage met her eyes, brain whirling as he processed her words. He wished he could believe her. But he couldn't. Not yet. He offered her a small smile though, moving to pace his fingers with hers gently. "I'm trying," he noted softly.

Amira sighed softly and dropped her hand, tucking herself under his chin

Sage just opened his arms up so she could cuddle in, and then wrapped them around her with a content breath. They could finally relax without the other man messing things all up.

Amira was quite pleased her brother was dead, glad they wouldn't need to worry anymore about him. She now had the worry of Sage's underconfidence in his ability to not kill without feeling. So long as he doesn't harm me or our child, it's not a big deal. She thought, her eyes closed

Sage was happy to just rest for a while, in peace. His thoughts drifted away after a while as he slipped into a light doze.

Amira slowly fell asleep as well, waking up a few hours later
