Ajax whimpered a little at the thought. His poor brain. "Ouch. My brain is sizzling in shame." He muttered, then snorted. "You've said yourself way too many times that I'm not that smart, so how could I even LOOK like a professor." He huffed, then continued. "Plus, you know where I grew up. Cattle ranch in Texas. And where I died. Cattle ranch in Texas. Doesn't leave much room for professor." Ajax pointed out, but as Mercy started speaking his face just grew horrified. "Gary!? OR GREG!?! Are you out of your mind? To have never met the best man in the world, cough cough ME, would have been bad enough... but to marry a GREG would be so, so much worse." Ajax exclaimed, shuddering slightly along with her at the thought. For some reason he just hated that name. Maybe because all the ones he had met we were jerks. Stuck up jerks.

Mercy giggled at him, shifting to curl her arms around him. "I'm sorry, your innocence." She teased, pressing a gentle kiss to his head. She listened to him speak and raised her hands in defeat afterwards. "Alright, alright. You have me there. Maybe I got a little too carried away. But Professor Ajax will always be in my mind- probably teaching me what the difference between one cow and another is." She shrugged teasingly, grinning at his outrage over Greg. "I know! I'd probably drive a minivan too. Or have kids. Eugh, it's a good thing I'm dead." She teased, pressing a light kiss to his lips after. "I'm so glad I met you." She smiled softly, leaning back.

Ajax sighed a little, over exaggerating it. "You should be." He mumbled, smiling slightly. "A little?" He inquired, lifting an eyebrow. He shuffled his wings slightly, letting the tips rest on the rooftop. "Wow. WOW. Teaching you the difference between two cows? That truly is sad." Ajax groaned. "A minivan!? What happened to good old Chevys? And kids? Imagine what they would be like. So boring. Greg would probably have brown hair. Boring brown hair. The kids would probably look like him." He huffed, but laughed a little at her words. "I for one, no offense, am over the moon that you are dead. Otherwise I would have never met you." Ajax grinned, kissing her back- he was slowly getting better.

Mercy rolled her eyes at his first two comments, holding back snickers at his mini outrage over the situation. "I know! See, that's why it's a good thing we're dead. You never got the chance to become Ajax, the cow Professor." She teased, laughing slightly at his outlook on what her life might have been like. "Those died in like, the 70s, Professor. Eugh- I don't think the world is ready for mini-Gregs. I was hoping, y'know, one might look like me apparently not." She joked, pretending to be mortally offended at his next comment. "Wow. You couldn't have said, 'Wow, Mercy, sucks that you died, but I'm over the moon about you and I think you're pretty great.' We need to work on your phrasing." She joked, dropping the expression and almost pulling away in surprise when he kissed her back- that was about the first time he had reciprocated in something like that. She blinked after she pulled away, then promptly flopped on her back and looked up at the sky quietly.

"Never got the chance, or it never would happen in the first place?" Ajax asked grumpily, but it did make him happy he was dead. Very very dead. "No, the world is definitely not ready for mini-Gregs. Imagine, the boy would be Gregory, the girl would be Gregolas..." He trailed off in a grin. Ajax lifted his hands in surrender at her next thing. "Sorry sorry, let me rephrase that before I die twice. I am SO over the moon about YOU and it might suck that you died but wow. Just, like, you in shining brilliance." He said dramatically, enunciating almost every word. +Ajax strikes again, surprising Mercy into dropping onto her back and acting like she died+ He thought with a wince as she practically jerked away. +Crap, too far? Not good? Bad?+ He thought weakly, turning his gaze to the sky silently.

"Both." Mercy shrugged, snickering specifically at Gregola as he continued. She chuckled as he continued, nodding teasingly. "There you go. Crisis averted. I am quite brilliant, thank you for correcting yourself." She joked. She glanced over at him, raising her eyebrows at his wince and then realizing just how bad her reaction had come off. She smiled and sat up, shaking her head slightly. "Sorry, that came off wrong, didn't it?" She chuckled nervously, shifting closer to him. "You just, uh... caught me by surprise. In a good way." She teased softly, tilting her head slightly. "Can we redo that?" She asked softly, tentatively settling her hand on his cheek.

(I'm over here just wheezing. Any other person in the entire world would look at Ajax and Mercy like they were absolutely insane LOL) +++ Ajax nodded at her second comment. "I fixed it, thankfully. You are very welcome." He snorted, looking intently at the sky for a little longer before she spoke again. He turned his head a little to look at her, lifting an eyebrow slightly, as if confused about what she was going to say. He waited a moment before answering, however. "Maybe not wrong, I mean, as you've kinda said yourself, it is hard for you to do anything wrong..." He chuckled slightly. "I can only imagine why." Ajax commented sarcastically. As anyone could see and Mercy definitely knew, he wasn't the most .... close contact loving peroson in the world? In any case, it had to come as a surprise, because thinking back, it was like the 5th time it had happened and the 1st he had actually, well, acknowledged it. So, of course it came as a surprise. "You caught me by surprise from the fact you didn't just faint from shock." he commented wryly, a slight twitch in the corner of his mouth indicating he was trying not to smile. "If we redo it, promise me you won't pass out or something. I know the shock must be just hitting you." Ajax started teasing, knowing this would be a great subject to mercilessly tease her on. (Get the pun? XDDDD).

Truly I mean that's because... they are insane xD)) Mercy rolled her eyes at him teasingly, letting out a small sigh. "Your words, not mine." She joked softly, gently grabbing his hand and interlocking their fingers. Everytime she had ever kissed him, anywhere, really- he usually acted like it didn't happen. So for him to actually reciprocate her, even in the slightest, was a worthy reason to flinch. "I almost did." She teased, petting out a small huff as he continued. "I can't promise you that. It's like telling me not to blink." She teased, leaning into him and pulling him slightly closer to kiss him again. (I DIIIIDDD XD))

"I was just quoting you." Ajax pointed out teasingly. As she went on about how she ALMOST fainted and it MIGHT happen again he grinned, looking amused. "Well, try not to blink then." He joked, steeling himself to - try again. The first time it had kind of been instinct. He hadn't really thought about what he was doing. Now that his brain was in gear it was 10 times harder. Still, Ajax let Mercy tug him closer and kissed her fondly, which immediately scrambled his brain as happened with every other human on earth. He had just accepted the fact.

"I'll do my best." Mercy teased softly, watching him pull himself together before the kiss. She was prepared that time when he kissed her back, shifting to curl her arms around him slowly. It felt almost like their first kiss- their first real kiss, anyway. She pulled away tentatively after a few moments, a soft smile on her lips. "That was... good. That was great." She managed quietly, shifting and pulling him into a hug. She had never felt as fond for him as she did right now- which was truly saying something.
