"I don't suppose many people would have." Ellie murmured as she took a few steps inwards on the island, "There's a boat so I bet it's private land. Though, it must have been years since someone's touched it." Ellie grinned, going to lean against the lonely tree, looking up into its great branches. "Which means we are probably the first people in a very long time to step foot on here, and thats pretty cool."

"Yeah, it is."

Sam said as he walked around a little, and seeing a soft grassy path looking out over the dazzling waterfall pools, he gently took Ellies hand and lead her over there, sitting down and sighing. "Its beautiful, isnt it?" he said softly. "Oh i forgot i brought these." he said, reaching into his bag and bringing out a box of strawberries he had grabbed for the way. He took one then handed it to Ellie.

Ellie sat herself down just next to Sam, looking out into the great and small waterfalls, simply mesmerized by the sight. She had concluded that if she were to come here again, she would never let herself get used to it. It would forever astound her.

Ellie quietly took one of the strawberries before putting the box between the two of them. "Thanks," She noted softly with an ever so gentle smile. "Hey, just a question... and a rather random one, but what do you plan to do in the future? Like when you finish your studies and leave the yard?"

Sam took another strawberry, tilting his head slightly at the question.

"Hm, im not sure i really want to think about it..." he said, pondering. "but i guess i'll get a job, buy a suburban house and move in with a lady who i probably wont even like, have 3 kids, get a golden retreiver, and work an office."

Sam said, jokingly. In fact, that life was one of his biggest fears. In reality he wanted to see the world with somebody he loved, work with horses and live life to the fullest he possibly could. "what about you?" he asked.

"Sounds fun. When you get that golden retriver, I'll take little Ella off your hands, don't you worry. Just so long as you name one of those kids after me." She replied lightly, offering a soft chuckle as she took another strawberry. "I think you deserve more than that though." She herself had never thought about what she would do. The fact was that she never saw herself as an adult so the fact that she would soon have the world at her feet was something she struggled to grasp.
"Eeeeh... I suppose I'll have to bag a rich husband and make him buy me a big yard so I can collect horses." She joked lighly, "or maybe, I'll make a name for myself, backing horses or something." She shrugged lightly in thought, "Who knows

Sam laughed lightly at what she said. "maybe."

He got up, wanting to stretch his legs a little. Moving towards a ledge of rock a few feet above the water below, he looked down at the tiny fish that flitted in and out of his range of vision. Sam was aware of how close he was to the edge but payed no attention to it.Just as he was turning around to tell Ellie about how beautiful this place was, he felt a piece of slate stone crumble beneath his feet. Sam made a desperate lunge forward to save himself, but failed. Plummeting down into the icy depts of the lake, Sam felt his breath catch as his body hit the water, splayed out in an odd position. He felt little to no pain, and even if there had been any, the coldness of the water soon washed it away quickly. It took a few seconds for him to realise he was slowly sinking, his clothes weighing him down.

Plunging upwards towards the light, Sam squinted to see where he was at. Finally after a few seconds of desperate swimming, his body broke the surface of the water.

Ellie looked up in horror as she heared the dreaded crackles of stones and pebbles starting to tear from the edge, the seemingly solid ledges rupturing. Sam had turned to face her, at which point she had scrambled desperately to grab him - a hand, a sleeve, anything - but, alas she had simply been too late. She yelled his name, only, there had not been even a sound of a reply. She stared down for a moment, before trying to think straight, backing away from the edge. Ellies heart dropped, lost for what to do.

The girl looked sick, pale, and so damn worried. She found herself dropping everything and running along the side of the the edge, trying to find the lowest point, somewhere she could see Sam. Finally, he had resurfaced, but was thrashing about. She could barely reach the water, but if she could get close enough, then maybe she could grab him. "Over here! Come on!" She hollared out, taking her jacket off, ready for whenever he finally managed to find his way out of the water.

Sam struggled to stay at the surface, the layers of clothing he was wearing weighing him down even further as they got more waterlogged. In his panic one of his hands found a ledge.

Puling himselft up with that arm, he found Ellies hand with his other and with her help, he used his other arm on the ledge to pull himself over and onto the grass.

After he had caought his breath and lay down for a good minute just breathing and soaking in the little sunlight, he got up and still sopping wet, said

"i," he breathed "Am officially an idiot."
