Ajax was pleased at his progress in that short amount of time. He had grown more, putting it simply, cuddly, which apparently made Mercy happy so WHY NOT. He had comforted her enough that she was chuckling, and she didn't seem to be too stressed. Those two seemingly minor things he counted as great successes. "Okay you're right. Maybe not less stubborn, but more cuddly. Like... instead of being a real bear I just need to be a bear in disguise. A teddy bear. Yeaaahhh." Ajax winked with a slight laugh. "Wait, me? Good philosophy? You must be joking." He gasped, a teasing twinkle in his eyes.

Mercy gently shifted to get more comfortable, curling her arms around him and wrapping a wing gently around his back. She giggled faintly at his words, laying her head against his chest and grinning. "You weren't a teddy bear already? Gee, old man, you're just full of surprises today." She teased, pressing a kiss to his cheek and shaking her head. "Nope. I'm dead serious. That being, I'm dead and also serious. The point remains though." She joked.

Ajax looked mighty suspicious as Mercy giggled, lifting an eyebrow. "It wasn't THAT funny, was it?" He snorted, but at her words it turned into a small glare paired with a huff. "Who you calling old man? I see no 'old man' around here!" Ajax sniffed, but he couldn't help but grin at her second statement. "Okay Mrs dead-serious-but-no-actually-dead-and-serious. Thanks for the compliment." He chuckled, listing everything she said rather quickly.

"It most definitely was." Mercy said sarcastically, stretching slightly and smiling up at him. "You, duh. If you were still alive you would have wrinkles and white hair." She teased. "Or maybe you would be balding." She joked, giving a mock gasp of horror at the thought. She rolled her eyes at his last statement, nodding sarcastically. "You're welcome." She huffed.

Ajax's eyebrows just 'bout shot off the top of his head at Mercy's words. "Excuse you, I am dead thank you very much so you dont have to worry about wrinkles or gray hair. But Mercy, BALDING!?! That's too far! Ouch!" He exclaimed, wincing at the terrifying thought. If he ever did get old, WHICH WOULD NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE HE WAS DEAD, he imagined he would keep the black hair and just parts of it would turn white and it would look SUPER COOL. Not balding. Anything but BALDING. After some thought he spoke again. "Ouch. Really? balding?" Ajax mumbled with a slight groan.

"Mmmmm; but if you weren't dead. I'm not saying you wouldn't be handsome. You would just be handsome in a more... distinguished way." Mercy teased, simply because she knew how to antagonize him. "Okay, I'm sorry- maybe balding was just a bit far. I'm sure, if you were alive right now, you would have a head of thick, shining hair just like you do right now." She teased, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair as she did so.

Ajax let out a quiet groan, shutting his eyes. "Stop it with the hair. You are going to give me nightmares." He paused, opening his eyes with a slight glare. "Handsome in a more distinguished way? What is that supposed to mean!?" He snorted, his wings twitching slightly. "Yes, balding was too far, and yes, I would ONLY be around 50 and MOST NORMAL PEOPLE around 50 AREN'T BALDING. So YES, I WOULD have a THICK, SHINING head of hair like I do right now." Ajax explained with a loud huff, though he was slightly amused, as told by the way his face twitched, as if he was trying not to smile, and by the twinkle in his eyes.

"I thought you were a demon. Aren't demons kind of supposed to be the nightmares?" Mercy teased, chuckling at him and his little wing twitch. "You'd be handsome. But also old. Handsome in a professor-y kind of way." She joked, smiling at his diatribe. "If it makes you feel any better, I would probably be doing stupid, adult things if I were still alive. Getting a job, getting married, the boring old stuff." She joked.

Ajax sent a glare her way, then stated into the side of a building. "I am the BEST demon and I can haunt peoples memories all I want. I just dont want. Plus I'm disturbed by different things than most." He sniffed defensively, though a small cough escaped, translating into a chuckle. "A what who when why? Professor-y kinda what? Way? HUH?" Ajax sounded horrified by the thought of this. "Like read books all day and know too much stuff kind of professor?" He inquired with a small sigh. At Mercy's last comment his gaze snapped back to her quickly and he quirked an eyebrow. "My oh my, are you meaning to imply you would have married another man? But wouldn't you feel like he wasnt right, like there was someone else out there meant just for you? You would abandon me, Mr. Most Handsome, for some random guy? How horrifying." Ajax gasped, though now he was obviously joking.

Mercy smiled at his defensive demeanor, laughing slightly and his astonishment over her professor comment. "Yes, the smart, distinguished read-books-and-teach-univeristy kind of professor. There's something about them that's very enticing." She said, purely to tease him. She smiled as he started speaking again, giggling. "I might have, because I wouldn't have known about you or your glory. Blegh, his name would probably be... Gary. Or Greg. Eh, I hate Gregs." She joked, pretending to shudder.
