Ellie smiled leaned back over so slightly on her hands, enjoying the serenity of what seemed like the most private and peaceful place in the world. She couldn't help but feel at ease, watching Sam skip pebbles across the clear lake every now and then. She chuckled lightly at Sam's need to get to the island, "I mean, I bet it's even more amazing out there. I wonder if anyone has ever stepped foot out on it before. " She murmured, closing her eyes for a moment, as though she were in thought, "It's not far. We could probably swim there." She teased with a laugh.

oooh, so pretty! i got a few EEW combos and a WWE, not a horrible RO but i was hoping for a WWW. - "hm, i wonder." Sam said, scratching around in the pebbles to find a good one. Taking the smooth black pebble, he pressed it into Ellie's hand. "know how to do it?" he asked her as he flung another one over the lake, making even more bouncy ripples than before. "hm." said Sam. "maybe we should swim out there." he said, laughing a little. He secretly wanted to swim out, but he was sure Ellie was kidding and wouldnt want to.

Aw, awesome! I was hoping for this one to be a w combo but happy enough with what I got lol. - Ellie nodded slightly as she sat up again, fiddling with the smooth, slate-like pebble. "Kind of, though I've never been awfully good at it." She murmured, sorting the thin pebble in her hand before gently throwing it across the water, watching it bounce once or twice before cutting through a small ripple and sinking down to the bottom of the river, not likely to be seen again for years to come. She shook her head, mouthing the word 'awful' again with an inward smile. "I bet we could!" She snickered, bumping his arm softly with her own, "I hear freezing cold water is good for your skin," Ellie noted, her voice still very quiet.

"hmm. I think it could be too cold." he said, touching the freezing water. He started walking around the beach, searching for any other ways they could get on to the island. And there he saw it. Concealed by shrubbery and dead, fallen leaves, lay a small rowing boat with just enough space for the two of them. Sam backoned Ellie over, shifting the leaves and rubbish with his hands. Underneath lay a perfectly good metal boat with two rusty oars sitting in it. Sam heaved the boat out of the woods and onto the gravel of the beach, the metal making a sharp sound when it hit the rocks. "now that, Ells, is a find."

"I'm sure you'd be right." She huffed in reply to his comment. She stood up and came over to peer at Sam's brilliant find. Ellie almost jumped up and down, grinning in the most childish manner, "A find it is! Do you think it would float?" She asked with a slightly tilted head. They would never know until they tried it on the water, and so together they pushed it out off the gravel to the water's edge, the front of it making large ripples as it disrupted the water. Ellie held onto a rope that attached to the small boat, while Sam gave it a shove out into the lake. Sure enough, it floated, though Ellie was a little skeptical, "Do you think we could get across in it at some point? Or that it would hold us at all?"

"Yeahhh i'm sure itt'l hold us and take us across just fine." Sam said as the boat bobbed lightly in the blue water. Testing it out, he put one foot into the boat, before declaring it safe, and stepping in. There were two small seats in there, so just enough space for them both to squeeze in. Sam offered Ellie a hand to steady herself as she stepped into the little boat. "Allrighty." Sam breathed, picking up an oar and pushing them off into the deeper water. The boat seemed fine and good to go, so he began to row harder, and soon they were almost halfway to the island.

Ellie couldn't help but feel a little guilty as Sam rowed them both across the lake. They were going quite quick as well, there must have been a lot of effort behind those rows. Soon though, she settled and let herself enjoy the scenery from a different perspective. They took a slight pause in the middle of the lake, where she took the chance to speak up again. "This looks just like something straight out of a fairytale!" Ellie chirped brightly, "we need to come back in summer - I can imagine what It'll be like." Ellie noted softly. "You want me to row for a bit?"

"ooh, yeah." Sam agreed. "Im sure we could swim in the summer." he said, keeing a steady rythym with the oars. "Oh no, its ok, they arent too heavy." Sam said, shaking his head alittle and smiling at her offer to row the boat. By this time they were almost at the island and finally, with a small thud, the boat hit land. Wobbling a little, Sam stepped onto the soft, mossy grass. He held out a hand to help Ellie over, before taking a rope and looping it through a protruding tree root to make sure their boat wouldn't float off. "i wonder if many people have set foot here before?"
