Elara pulled herself up with his help, nodding at his words, her eyes widening as she looked back at him. "Wait. . . you were whipped?" She asked sadly, answering his next statement. "That's if they don't kill him there."

Sage paused when she mentioned him being whipped and nodded once, lips pressing into a sort of line. He didn't carry the conversation on though...she'd likely bring it up later, and he'd tell her about it if she asked, but for now he was pushing it aside. "They wont. If they wanted him dead they'd have strung him up by the neck somewhere," he noted, moving to gather a few things and stuff them in a bag. "Let's go," he noted. "Liz will be asleep for the night, we can come back for her if we need to."

Elara nodded at her words, pocketing a few more blades before the two started for the kkingdom. The sun was setting, casting the earth in a dark shadow. She looked over at Sage, speaking softly. "You really didn't have to do this,"

Sage set off with Elara quickly, glancing over at her with a soft smile at her comment. "He's your friend," he noted softly. "Besides, I wouldn't wish the whip on any man," he added with a grimace. "He's going to need some help." He knew that even for the strongest man, the marks of the whip were a lot to bear.... treatment helped a lot.

She just nodded, unsure if she should cry or smile. She was honestly stuck in the middle. Eventually they reached the holding cells, Elara disguising herself and sweetalking a few of the guards, slipping past them with ease before her expression changed to find where they were holding Dorian. The two turned down the hall, the man's groans being heard from the end, growing louder as they neared him. ". . . Dorian? . . " Elara whispered, the man quieting for a moment before his eyes fluttered open, his gaze unfocused as he looked at her. "El?"

Sage had waited for elara to find Dorian, before slipping through a back window as he heard her voice in the dungeons. He dropped down next to her and moved to work at the chains holding the other man, helping catch him and settle him on his back before getting to work cleaning him off and putting some salve on the wounds, as well as some potato peels to help cool the wounds off a bit. He left Elara to talk to her old friend...he wouldn't do much there, but he could make the whip marks feel better at least.

"Why'd they do it?" Elara asked, helping him up. "They. . . said I knew where you were and . . . was commiting treason by not saying." He managed through gritted teeth, leaning heavily on her.

Sage frowned as he heard why the other boy had been punished, shaking his head slightly. "Well, you've got two options. Stay, and hope they give up, or go somewhere else," he noted quietly. He wouldn't push one way or the other.

Elara stilled at Sage's words, shaking her head. "The guards don't give up on cases about me, my father wants me back, and he's willing to get rid of anything in his way and get every ounce of anybody who knows, even if it means this." She gestured lightly to Dorian.

Sage frowned slightly and nodded, letting out a soft breath as he thought. "Then we'll need to get him out of her," he thought out loud, brows crinkling together slightly as he sat back. "Do you have anywhere to go," he asked the man.
