[My goodness, taking advantage of Ajax now are we? Tsk tsk. XD] +++ Ajax knelt there, his arms wrapped around Mercy, for what seemed like hours but was really only ten minutes. When she raised her head and spoke he only snorted. "I guess I'm multi purpose, so, that's what I'm here for." He joked slightly, his thumb rubbing her shoulder gently mostly because he wasnt thinking about that. Plots and plans zoomed around his head on how he could actually help, or do a better job comforting, or say the right thing.

Shhhh shes traumatized so its fineee xD)) Mercy closed her eyes, smiling faintly at his words. The weakest of chuckles escaped her and she nodded faintly. "Thanks for being my pocketknife, I guess." She joked back meekly, sniffling. After, she lifted her head and pressed her lips quietly to his cheek, letting out a small sigh after. "The funny thing is, you've just cuddled me more now than when I asked you to." She joked quietly, keeping her arms gently wrapped around him for the time being.

Ajax was counting the chuckle as a 100 percent awesome success that he just accomplished with no help hands down and he was amazed with his progress. "I will try and be the best pocketknife you've ever had." He smiled slightly, glancing at her with a somewhat sad gaze, but he was glad he had kind of almost helped the tiniest little bit. At her words he snorted slightly, letting out a very small laugh. "Yeah, I guess so. See, I'm capable of it, I'm just too stubborn so you have to trick my brain for me to do it." Ajax pointed out, a slight twinkle in his eyes. A small thing he was getting a little worried about were his legs, which had gone through too many stages now. First they fell asleep, then they grey really numb so he couldn't feel anything, then they hurt badly, and now they were going numb again- which wasn't a good sign. He shifted slightly, wincing at the burst of pain.

"You don't have to try. You've already succeeded." Mercy quipped softly, letting out a small hum of agreement to his next words. "If it means you cuddle me, I might have to start tricking your brain." She teased faintly, blinking up at him when he winced. She looked confused for a few moments- then realized he had been sitting on his knees for at least 15-20 minutes. "Oh, I'm sorry- here, sit down." She muttered quickly, gently unwrapping her arms from him and moving back so he could sit comfortably.

"Aw, thanks. I'm touched." Ajax chuckled, letting out a small huff at her next words. He didn't put on his normal drama show however- it wouldn't help during this time. "I guess you really do whatever it takes." He snorted, but there was, as always, a teasing tone to his voice. As Mercy looked at him in confusion, then figured it out, Ajax shook his head. "Dont be. I chose to stay like this- it is my fault." He answered, using the extra space to sit down instead of cruch his long legs underneath him.

Mercy simply smiled faintly, cheering up just at the sound of his voice. "Truly. Anything for cuddles." She teased, stretching for a moment and then sitting down beside him. "I know you're not super- into affection. So thank you, for trying. It means a lot." She said quietly.

Ajax chuckled a little before just sitting there, his knee propped up so he could rest his arm on it that wasn't preoccupied holding Mercy. As she spoke he casted a glance at her, shaking his head slightly before staring back up at the sky. "We both need to adapt to each other, and in my opinion it would be much better if I adapted to you way of living rather than the other way around. Plus I want to do whatever I can to make you actually want to be near me. The last thing I want is for you to get sick of joking around and fly away- literally." Ajax pointed out, the last part said with a teasing tone and a joking smile on his face.

Mercy looked at him quietly, raising her eyebrows at the somewhat profound words that came out of his mouth. "I would never run away from you. But I do like actually being held. It's nice." She smiled, cuddling into him eagerly. "But I like that philosophy. I just want you to know I'll love you, affection or not." She added softly, closing her eyes.

[I know, surprising Ajax knows something. Wow lol] +++ Ajax knew Mercy was slightly surprised by what he said, and he could only guess that it was because of his somewhat knowledgeable words. "Well that's comforting. And I know you do, I'm trying to be less stubborn." He chuckled, trying to refuse the urge to look straight at the sun. He had figured out it still blinded him, even though he was technically dead. On the upside, it only temporarily blinded him. "Well I will definitely love you affection or not as well." Ajax smiled a little, placing a gentle kiss on the top of her head. "But I will always try to be better."

Absolute shocker lol)) Mercy chuckled faintly at him for his answer. "It was meant to be comforting, so I'd hope it was." She joked, giving a sarcastic gasp at the end of his sentence. "No. You? Less stubborn? No way." She said sarcastically, the attempt halfhearted. "Good to know." She giggled faintly in response to his next comment, pressing into his gentle kiss. "That's a good philosophy. I'll always try to be better too." She nodded softly.
