Regan just stared at him for a little while, a frown across her face but surprisingly not a sad one. More like relief. He wasn't angry at her... he hadn't had enough of her, and he wasn't trying to leave her... not yet, at least. He thought she was perfect? That she, in Every way, was as just perfect? She wasn't too loud, or obnoxious or bossy or annoying, she was just perfect? That thought made her whole heart ache. She stared at him for a moment or two before crawling over to his side and going to carefully rest her head on his shoulder. He'd said that he wanted help with getting more comfortable with people, and she said she'd do that. "I'm glad you think so, Tyler," she murmured gently to the boy.

Tyler tried to study Regan, but he was failing at emotions again. Waaay too many of them were crossing her face at once, and all he did was make himself confused. When she crawled over, though, he felt relief... knowing that most likely wasn't a bad sign. A little blare of panic fired up in his brain as Regan set her head on him, but he mentally swatted it down. Tyler just nodded and said nothing, and now that he was over the initial tiny bit of fear... it felt nice to have someone actually leaning on him without beating him. Or slapping him. Or throwing a knife at him. Or injuring him in any way. -My brain... is seriously messed up- Tyler thought

Regan hummed softly after a moment or two, just letting herself relax onto his shoulder once he'd settled down. She knew this was all hard for him. He didn't know what to think of people when they were in the state that she was in. He didn't know how to emote himself, never mind keep someone else happy. But he was trying, and she was proud of him for that. She trusted him. He didn't mean to upset her. He didn't mean to make her feel unwanted or I cared for. She wanted him to feel like she was trying her hardest to keep him happy, too. Because she was, even if she wasn't doing an amazing job of it. She felt him tense when she rested her head on him, and gently shook her head. "Just relax," she told him softly, letting out a heavy rest as she let her limbs rest from the walking they'd need doing.

Tyler's eyes soon flitted into the forest, scanning the green leaves and brown bark. He was still a little wary about the whole campsite situation. His brain wandered back to the past couple hours with Regan and him. -Well at least it's resolved that I'm not mad or annoyed at her in any way- Tyler confirmed in his mind, a thoughtful expression on his face. He might worry a little about some things, but he was trying to not fret over Regan. When she spoke he almost got startled, his head jerking slightly as he flew out of thought. "Sorry, uh, yeah. I will." Tyler said quietly, now sending his brain to go tell his muscles to relax. Not like they would listen. Slowly, though, he relaxed a little... though the thought of the people back there still haunted his memory.

Regan just sighed at him. Well, she supposed, at least that had been sorted. Kind of. She still felt stupid for it all, but she trusted Tyler enough that she didn't have to be scared of him in any kind of way. That she didn't have to worry about hurting him, or upsetting him at all. She didn't want that. When she felt his muscles slowly release, she smiled gently to him before looping an arm through his. She just wanted a moment of quiet, but soon enough she had settled down. "Ready to set off again?" She asked quietly to her friend before unlooping herself from him and letting him go.

Tyler's brain wandered off again, going who knows where. He could barely decipher what his brain usually thought of, so he wasn't going to follow it into the unknown. When Regan spoke he mentally slapped himself because he flinched, coming back to the present... again. "Yep." Tyler answered, forcing his now tight muscles to loosen out again. He would just get sore if he stayed tight. Tyler stood slowly and shook out his arms, grabbing the bag and rousing Raptor. The dog hopped up with a happy yip, running in a circle before standing at attention. "Perfect. Let's go." Tyler half chuckled at the german shepherd mix, who had his ears perked and was staring intently at Tyler

Regan wandered along for the next while... a few hours passed, and she felt like they were finally getting closer to the cabin. "I hope everything is as we left it," she announced to him after a moment or two, the place coming into sight after a moment or two. She was tired... very tired, now. All they'd done was walk up towards the cabin, but she felt like a lot had gone on, more than than they could either express. Millie padded along next to her with her tongue lolling out her mouth happily. She walked quietly for the last hour or so... she wasn't really sure what she wanted to say.

Tyler just walked along like he had done so many times. It was quite easy... he had walked away from danger so much that he had auto pilot now. Weave around the trees, don't trip on roots, you're good to go. He looked up as Regan spoke, nodding. When the cabin came into view Tyler let out a slow breath, relieved that he would get to rest. It had been a while now, but he was still hard on breath. At the moment it felt like he was sucking air through a straw, and he was wheezing the tiniest bit. Stupid smoke and fractured rip. Unhelpful. -It should have healed by now... what if it never heals?- The worrisome thought popped up in Tyler's mind. He walked into the cabin and looked around. Everything looked normal, thankfully, because he was ready to sink into a chair. Tyler set the backpack down and unstrapped Raptor, kneeling on the ground to do so.

Regan hummed as they wandered in, more than thrilled to see that they hadn't actually trashed the place... whoever they were. She went in, and looked through everything... everything was where she had left it. Thankfully. "Thank god," she sighed, placing a hand on her head before going to plop down in a comfortable chair. She was glad to have been relaxed now... she was scared that someone would have seen them, followed them, but she couldn't worry too much... she locked the door, so nobody could get in. She could finally just... chill out, they both could, and they deserved it too. She looked over to Tyler... she hoped he was still alright. She wasn't sure if he'd completely healed yet.

Raptor wiggled out of the vest and darted around the cabin like a puppy, then collapsed near the bed with a happy huff. The dog was asleep 3 seconds later, a slight snoring sound coming from him. Tyler chuckled slightly, shaking his head. He pushed himself to his feet and made sure everything was put away before sitting down in the second chair, leaning back with a sigh. "Well I'm glad we're back..." he said quietly, closing his eyes for a moment and making sure his breathing was calm.
