Regan eventually fell asleep, but kind of stayed conscious for a short while... she wanted to be able to just up and leave whenever they'd gotten the chance to do so. At about midnight, everyone had stalked off again, so she went to gently poke Tyler awake. Her chest still ached from their earlier conversation... she'd understood what he was wanting, but she just wanted him to be sure it wasn't just to make her happy. He deserved far, far more than that. But now wasn't the time to think about that. "Hey," she whispered gently to him as she tried to get him up. "Get your things, we're going," she told the boy before forcing herself to jump down the tree... it was a long jump for her, and her shins hurt when she finally hit the ground, but she was alright. Little... or not so little anymore Millie was curled up at the bottom of the tree with Raptor, and she went to clip their carrier vests onto them so they could take some of the weight. She'd gathered everything they had before waiting impatiently for Tyler.

Tyler didn't move at first, his black brows drawing together under the hat. Gosh he was so tired. When he heard a thump, though, and all the warmth Regan had been supplying disappeared, he grumpily awoke. Once Tyler regained his senses though, he stayed quiet and took off the hat, swinging out of the tree and landing with a soft thump. "Sorry... I was a bit tired..." He mumbled, grabbing his bag and the bag of deer sticks. Tyler made sure some of the supplies was secured on Raptor's back before looking back to Regan and waiting for her to give the signal they could go

Regan looked back at him as he spoke and just kind of shrugged. She waited for him to get everything together, and soon enough they were ready to go. She tilted her head for him to follow her and padded around the side of the camp, Millie glued to her ankles as they wandered along. They'd get back to the cabin... maybe by lunchtime the next day. She eventually slowed down as the sun had started to rise and they'd gotten far enough away.. it had been a few hours now, so they could maybe relax a little bit from now on.

Tyler continued walking in silence, worried thoughts already clanging around his brain. Was Regan mad at him? Would what he said wreck the relationship they had built, even if it wasn't too much? Would she want to leave to find someone better suited for her? Would she want to leave because he worried too much about stupid things? -idiot- Tyler thought, feeling slightly frustrated and aggrivated. He did worry too much, though he usually tried to keep it inside... when it didn't get too bad. Tyler squared his shoulders and shifted the backpack, continuing forward as he watched the sun rise.

Regan hadn't really been paying attention to the stiffness... she was tired, and a little bit emotional for whatever reason. She supposed she was just a bit frustrated with herself. She wished she'd been smarter... she wish she'd listened to him when he said he didn't want to come to this place. It had been wonderful, for a short while. She'd had wonderful company and good conversation... but now look at them. She was so, so stupid. She clenched her jaw as she walked, just feeling so much in one go, and she couldn't just relax for a moment. She knew Tyler wasn't happy, yet she'd made him stay. They were a team, weren't they? They were meant to be. She supposed they just needed to act like it.

Tyler glanced over at Regan. Why was she stiff? It dawned on him that she might possibly feel bad... or at least frustrated, from what he could see on her face. -Why?- Tyler asked himself, then got another light bulb. -Oh. She wanted to come here and I didn't. Gah Regan, that's only because I'm an unsocial giant that doesn't want to be near anyone, you'd better not be frustrated over that- Tyler thought, weaving through the trees as he thought. He knew the people may be unfriendly, but the biggest reason he didn't want to go was because he was stubborn and selfish. Sooo... he really hoped Regan wasn't getting frustrated over that.

The girl walked in silence for a short while longer, her thoughts just rushing faster as the seconds went by. Maybe that was why he was reluctant to know her so well. Maybe he just didn't want to be around her. Did he think she was bossy? Or maybe she was just plain annoying to him. She wished he'd tell her these things. She'd be better at talking to him if he did. She didn't want to drive him off... she didn't want him to hate her any more than she thought he might. She looked around after a short while before sighing. "Let's rest for a little while," she eventually sighed as she went to take a seat on some dry moss by a charred old tree.

(Sorry if this sounds close, I had to add the irony in haha.)

Tyler tipped his head as a new thought came to mind. What if Regan was worried he thought things about her? Like... she was bossy? He didn't think she was too bossy, and Tyler was pretty mild with her. He kind of just let her push him around... Tyler wouldn't let anyone else, but with Regan it seemed normal. Wait, did she think he thought she was annoying? Or maybe she thought he thought she was too talkative? Or too loud? -We need to communicate more- Tyler thought wearily. When Regan spoke he followed, leaning up against a tree over next to the charred one. "I just need to clear some things up because I'm rather confused" Tyler started slowly. "For one... I have a feeling you are worrying about me. Or, in this case, what I think about you. Don't. You are perfect the way you are, so just stop worrying about that altogether because it is literally giving me a headache worrying about if you are worrying about if I think you are... too loud or bossy or over talkative or anything else. I'm not leaving, you're not leaving, so there." Tyler finished with a half huff half sigh. He didn't know if he was being too worrisome, but he needed to say something.

Regan sighed softly, calling little Millie back to her side and going through her carrier vest, grabbing a snack before putting some water out for the dog. She rested against the tree for a moment or two before looking at Tyler when he spoke up. Her brows furrowed quietly and had to bite the inside of her lip as she listened to him. She couldn't say anything else... she just felt, well, pathetic. She hadn't normally put in any care about what people thought of her. She'd just be the way she was, either the person she was talking to liked it or not. But, when it came to Tyler, she just felt awful about... well, herself as a person. She felt like she couldn't be what he needed, and she hated that. She hated that she couldn't help him, protect him and care for him in the ways she wanted to. But, a kind of lump formed in her throat. She didn't know why... maybe it was just because he was putting those nasty thoughts at ease... telling her not to worry. She could only nod at him and went to fiddle with her fingers. "I- yes, Tyler," she murmured quietly to him, not knowing what else to say. Her heart was thumping hard in her chest, almost like she was scared... but she wasn't. She didn't have a clue why she felt like this, but it wasn't really a bad feeling... no, not at all.

Aand she was speechless. Was that good? Bad. Good. Bad. -Stop you're worrying and just accept it as a good thing, you probably maybe kind of put her mind to ease- His brain hollered at him, making Tyler rethink his thinking. He slowly sank down to the foot of the tree and sat there for a moment, pondering if that sounded totally crazy or not. "I.. I guess the whole point was that you are perfect the way you are, and everyone has different traits." Tyler finally said quietly, mostly just to put his mind to ease.
