Mari gave a small smile to him, sort of giving a shy nod. She knew he didn't want her to worry... but it was her job. She was his wife, and she just worried about him more than anything. "I just want you to feel a bit better," she murmured letting out a heavy breath. She'd do everything she could for him, though... he knew that. "If you need anything at all... just let me know," she hummed softly.

Sage hummed softly and nodded in response to her comment, absentmindedly going to finger her hair. "I know," he hummed, pecking her head again. "I feel better now that you know," he admitted with a huff of air. "The doctor was helpful in that sense," he chuckled. Though, at her other comment, he nodded and smiled sheepishly. "A back rub might be in order later then," he teased lightly. "But really....I'm alright," he promised.

Mari just sort of nodded and moved to bury her head into his chest. She was a little bit disheartened she supposed... Sage had been through a lot on his life. He didn't have to trust anyone at all, and yet... she was supposed to be the person he was comfortable telling everything. The person that he felt safe with... but he couldn't do that. She didn't know why, but now it seemed that she would give her all just to make him a bit happier. Safer, she supposed. She gave a little laugh, though, at his comment. She tilted her head up to press a soft kiss to his lips after a moment. "I suppose I can do that," she hummed to him gently.

Sage wasn't at all sure what she thought about him not telling her. He didn't want her to feel like he was keeping secrets from her, not at all. But...he was just struggling with figuring out what to say. How to tell her. He'd needed time to process it all. He was quiet for a moment before sighing. "I did want to tell you," he whispered. "I just couldn't figure out how," he sighed. He did still feel bad about it all. Though, he gave her a grin at her peck and laughed along with her. "Good, because I am sore," he chuckled lightly. "The warm water is helping too though," he admitted.

Mari sort of shook her head at him after a moment, a little confused by his comments... she hoped she hadn't done anything to make him feel like he had to say anything. "No, no, Sage it's fine," she told him hurriedly. "Don't worry one bit. I know now, it's fine as long as you're okay," she told him carefully. No way did she want to make him feel bad at all... she hoped she hadn't. That was the opposite of what she was trying to do. She gave him a small smile. "Whatever makes you feel good, hun," she mused lightly to him.

Sage sort of hummed in response to her comments, albeit a bit doubtfully but soon enough gave her another smile and nodded. "I feel good just being with you," he pointed out lightly. "Between that and being warm, I'm all settled for a while," he chuckled lightly. A back rub later would be nice though...he was sore, and while the knots he was sure were in his back weren't necessarily from the market, except for his lower back, the rest of it was probably just from all the stress. He'd definitely been stressed for a while. And now that he wasn't so stressed....well, he was feeling it. But he was home, and safe, and Mari was only more supportive of him than ever, so he could be happy. He had a goo support system set up here...and he was just very grateful for it. Soon enough though, he realized the water had mostly cooled off, so he patted Mari lightly, sort of just telling her he was starting to get cool again, since she had to get up and off of him before they could get out of the tub.

Mari gave a little smile to him, to really sure if she trusted that... she was happy as long as he was safe, but it did hurt a little that he couldn't tell her. She wondered if the doctor hadn't found out... she wouldn't have ever known unless he told her. And she didn't really think he would have. She pushed those thoughts away, though, just wanting to enjoy her time with him. She settled down again, though, for a little bit before she felt Sage tap her. She groaned before moving to peck his lips, then crawled out of the bath quickly before grabbing a heated towel for both her and Sage, shortly after going to grab their pyjamas from the radiator once she'd dried off.

Sage chuckled slightly when she groaned, but figured she didn't care too much once she got wrapped up in a heated towel. He certainly liked it. And their pajamas were warm....he sort of just wandered over to curl up in their covers happily once he'd dried off and gotten dressed, really just happy to curl up somewhere he could be warm. And Mari was with him, which was even better. He was certainly thankful for it all.

Mari sighed to him after a moment or two, getting changed before wandering down stairs to make him some hot chocolate. It didn't take long, and soon enough she wandered upstairs to put the mugs on the bedside table before flopping down on the bed with a heavy sigh. It had been a long day... but getting to do something more peaceful was nice. Dinner, a bath and just getting to relax for a while. She watched Sage curl up before giving him a pout. "I thought you wanted a back rub," she teased to him softly as she settled down.

Sage took his cup of hot chocolate from Amro happily when she gave it to him, chuckling at her comment. "I'm warm now though," he groaned with a slight chuckle. He took another sip of the drink before setting it to the side though, and flopping over so she could reach his back. He sort of just flopped his head down so it was settled on the pillows but he could still breathe easily while she did whatever she wanted to do.
