Kai took the glass with a shaky hand, but didn't drink from it. He just stared blankly at his feet. He nodded, "Yeah," he murmured, voice barely above a whisper. He'd been friends with her since he was 11, they'd been sleeping together since he was 13... why would she want him dead? |

Camery crouched down in front of him, her hands lightly on his knees as she tried to be some sort of comfort. Yeah? Yeah what? He wanted to speak to her? She stood up after a moment and grabbed his crutches, carefully offering them to him. "You're allowed to be upset, Kai," she whispered gently after a moment or two, her brows pinched softly together. She set the crutches down on the bed next to him, and hummed quietly. "Come on. Go see what she has to say, they might have the wrong person," she whispered. |

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded. He grabbed his crutches, standing up slowly, balancing on the crutches. "Okay..." he agreed. "Will you come with me? Please?" he asked, looking her in the eye, pleading. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery nodded to him and helped him up, a hand lightly on his shoulder as she helped him stand up again. "Of course I'll come with you. I can't leave you alone," she murmured to him as she watched him carefully out the door, a step or so behind him so she could catch him if she needed to. |

Kai looked up at her. "Thank you," he said gratefully before heading out of his room and down to the cells. He walked in and Orianna was behind bars, crying. "Kai! You're here! Please! I knew you'd understand!" She begged, reaching for him through the bars. Kai backed away. "Why'd you do it?" He asked. "I was jealous, I was jealous and drunk, I didn't mean to," she cried. "Jealous? Of who?" Kai asked, disgusted with her. "Of her," she spat at Camery. "She stole you from me. You were mine." Kais eyes widened. "Ori, you knew I wasn't interested in you. Not like that," "But I am! I love you!" Orianna yelled. Kai shook his head. "Im sorry, but Im in love with Camery," he replied, taking Cams hand. |

Camery followed him down to the cells, admittedly relieved but... nervous all the same. She knew Kai and Orianna were friends, for a long time by the sounds of things. She'd couldn't believe she'd actually tried to hurt him. She wasn't nice, but she wasn't the sort to injure someone. When the bars came into view though, it seemed more and more likely. Orianna didn't even try and hide the fact that she'd done it. Camery had been drinking too, but she tried to go and make things right. She didn't try and kill him. She'd admitted her love to him and then went to sleep with Ori, and she hadn't tried to kill him.
Her brows punched together when she spat at her, though, not expecting the anger to be directed at her at all. She thought she'd been friendly with Orianna, all considering. She hadn't stolen Kai at all... this was new, it had just happened.
When he reached for her hand, she gently shook him off her, giving him a look. Orianna didn't seem... sane right then, so seeing the two of them holding hands probably wouldn't help.
She just stared at the woman. "You tried to kill him... because you were drunk..." she tried to reiterate, her brows pinching together, clearly confused. |

Orianna ignored Camery. "See! She doesn't even want to hold your hand!" She yelled at him. "I would hold your hand, I'd be your queen!" It hurt a bit she wouldnt hold his hand and Orianna was just rubbing it in. Kai couldn't take this anymore. "You tried to kill me. I can't ever forgive that." |

Camerys brows pinched together. It just seemed that anything she did made the situation worse. She didn't hold his hand because she didn't want to rub it in Oriannas face, but clearly that didn't do much for her. The woman was clearly in the wrong state of mind.
"You tried to kill someone you love because you can't have them," she muttered under her breath, although Ori probably didn't hear it. She then wrinkled her nose at her, her gaze hardening. She took Malakais hand and squeezed his hand. "You tried to kill him, and then you slept with him?" She asked a bit louder, frustrated that she was being ignored. |

"Yeah, I did," Orianna spat at her, disgusted with her. Kai held her hand tightly, staring at Orianna. She wasn't who he thought she was. "Cam, I wanna go," he said, barely above a whisper. "Please..." |

Camery wrinkled her nose, anger written across her face. The woman really had no shame in it. She just thought Kai would understand. How could he understand her? The woman had tried to kill him.
She looked back at Kai after a moment, and gave a slow nod. "Yeah," she whispered. She wandered out the door next to him, holding his hand firmly in hers. Her brows furrowed together slightly once they'd left the room.
Her words rang in her head, sending Cam into a confused daze. She'd be his queen? Oh, hell no.
Once they were walking back to his room, she looked over at him. "Kai," she murmured quietly, her brows firmly punched together. "I'll be your queen," she murmured as they wandered into the room. She looked away from him after a moment, chewing the inside of her lip. |
