Sage chuckled lightly and grinned at her comments. He nodded, tilting his head as he remembered the little guy. Or girl. He didn't really know. "I named it brownie because it was brownish and I was like five," he admitted in a rather amused manner. He set the now empty glass of water to the side, not having realized how thirsty he was until there was water in front of him.

Quinn laughed, thinking about a little brown spider named... brownie. She also thought about the name she would have given it at five... something like... Amber. Umber. Clay. Something to have to do with mud, because that's what she thought when she thought brown. Quinn's mind just thought like that... even when she was five. "Amazingly name." She finally commented with a chuckle

Sage snorted out a laugh at Quinn's amusement. "I was five," he protested with a laugh. "Don't judge me too much," he joked lightly. Not that he would have made a serious name now either....but it would be like, billy bob Joe the fifth or something silly like that, solely for his amusement. Not brownie....that one was definitely a five year old name.

Quinn looked astonished. "I didn't judge you at all!" She said, amusement thick in her voice. "Who ever said I judge don't you? I even said amazing name." Quinn chuckled, glancing outside to where Sahara was speaking to Chaos. Or... nickering to Chaos.

Sage snorted and rolled his eyes at the girl's comments. 'oh, please," he snickered. Then he cocked his head. "Why did you name your mare Sahara," he asked curiously. "Chaos is chaotic, so that name was pretty obvious," he hummed.

Quinn chuckled, then glanced at Sage. "Well... for one I like doing the name. For two... her color really looks like the rolling sands of a desert... for three...." Quinn trailed off with a slight giggle. "Oh you know me, I like to plan stuff. Well right before she was born I decided I wanted the names to be desert themed. If she was going to be a boy, it would have been Dune. But she was a girl, so I went with Sahara." Quinn laughed. She understood why Sage had named Chaos.... Chaos. He was a nice horse, though.

Sage chuckled and nodded with a shrug. "well, it fits her," he noted, looking down at the horses. He really did like the two of them....they were mischievous, yes, and teased them mercilessly, but they were incredible horses, and wonderful friends. "Why desert themes though," he asked with a slightly amused tone. "I mean...out of everything, why that?" He was just curious and trying to find conversations he would ruin, really. "I mean, what would you have done if she was born and looked nothing like sand?"

Quinn looked back at Sage with a smile. "Well at that time I was very interested in drawing dragons. There was a series of books I really loved reading because they had amazingly drawn dragons that I could learn from. One of the types of dragons was a 'Sand Wing' and they were really cool..... didn't have to eat or drink for a long time, could hide in the sand, long distance fliers, and a tail barb like a scorpion. They fascinated me so I started liking desert names... like Dune, Sahara, Sun, Blister, Burn, Blaze, Thorn... names like those." Quinn explained with a chuckle. It sounded quite silly now. "If she didn't look anything like the desert, I would've still named her Sahara. It Is still a pretty name." Quinn shrugged Edited at May 1, 2023 11:07 AM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage hummed lightly and nodded. He'd explanation made sense, he supposed...he did like to read, though admittedly he wasn't very good at it. He was never very good at math or reading of any kind, since half his brain wasn't made to do that. So reading didn't happen much, even though he enjoyed it. Drawing was just easier, so that's what he normally did when he was bored. He chuckled and shrugged at her last comment. "Fair," he hummed. (Ok but those books are really good xD)

Wings Of Fire... best dragon book series EVER.) - Quinn smiled, tipping her head and looking out at Sahara. Sage had done his part and FINALLY thought up some questions... so she should do the same. She smirked slightly at the thought and stretched her arms above her head. "What do you like to draw the best? Like animals or people Or nature..." Quinn asked, looking at him.
