"How bad is it?" She asked, slightly panicked

"Well, can't say it's good. Both of them seemed alive, though." I explained, pushing the bike back into it's spot beside all my others.

"There fine, I bet. The paramedics got to them, they'll help best they can." I assured softly, my hand light against her shoulder.

"There's nothing we can do, it was some kids being stupid, they'll learn and move on." I tried, wanting to get the worry out of her expression.

"Babe, they'll be okay, I promise you. They're in good hands now," I tried once more, figuring if this didn't work it'd be best to walk away.

She nodded, taking his hand and noticing a small amount of blood. "Did you tear your stitches?" She snapped

I removed my hand and turned to walk away, only to be yanked back to her. I muttered something under my breath, paling slightly as I had realized I called her a bitch. Big mistake so i've learned. I sighed slightly as I ran a hand down my face, lifting up my shirt to show the stitches still tight. "Yes....but I tied it back before it could bleed more." I muttered
