Sage chuckled lightly and then cocked his head. He hummed in thought before moving over to settle down next to Quinn, curled up next to her like usual. He did notice that he was acting like himself around Quinn....he wasn't hiding the small actions that were more wolf like than human like. And it was definitely nice. He wasn't constantly on guard. "I don't know what you would like to talk about," he huffed, pausing as he thought. "Where did you get Sahara," he asked after a moment.

Quinn smiled slightly. "I bred her... kind of." Quinn chuckled. "On one of my little adventures where I ran away for more than a week, some guy offered me a mare. For free. I checked her over... and she looked perfectly fine. I even found papers on her... and she had good bloodlines. So I took her, not knowing she was pregant. A couple days later Sahara was born. I finally found some papers on the father, seeing he was a nice stud, too. I nevertheless fully understood why that guy gave me two horses for free." Quinn finished, glancing out at Sahara. "So... that question leads... where did you get Chaos?" She asked with a laugh

Sage hummed lightly and cocked his head as he listened to the girls story. "Really," he asked in surprise. "He just gave her to you?" Thatw as definitely surprising... especially if both parents were good horses. Horses, and breeding horses, were expensive. Especially good ones. He nodded when she asked where chaos came from and looked over at the horses. "I ended up being in the barn when his dam went into labor and had to pull him out," he said, with a bit of amusement in his voice. "My father said he was weak from the too long birth and would never be good enough to be a palace horse, but I kept them from killing him and just used him as my horse. My father never cared much...the mare died in battle soon after so he didn't have to deal with either of them, just like he wanted."

"Yeah... it was really weird." Quinn answered, tipping her head as she listened to Sage's story. Spending as much time with Sage as she did... she was almost getting some of his wolf habits, like tipping her head like a wolf does when its listening. When Sage finished Quinn sighed. "Well that's an interesting story. Poor Chaos..." she said quietly, thinking about what would have happened if Sage WASNT there.

Sage chuckled at her comment and nodded. "It was an interesting experience, to say the least," he hummed. "All of it." Then he looked over at Quinn and gave her his normal crooked grin. "If you ever get pregnant, just know I've pulled out more than enough things," he joked. Really, if it was that or her dying, he'd of course save her and the baby....but they would probably never do that. It wasn't like he wasn't up for it...but it was a put together marriage, and he didn't expect Quinn to want that from him.

Quinn looked a little offended, a little amused, and a little confused. "Oookay then..." she answered, not really knowing how to respond to that. How did he turn that perfectly normal conversation around so quickly? Quinn was a bit mystified by Sage bringing that up... did.. he want something? She was very... very confused. Quinn just decided to shrug it off. "I'll go get some water." She finally said, standing up and walking outside. Her brains initial reaction... *What?*

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, though he could tell she was a little bit confused by it. He'd really just been joking around...he supposed he was just bad at this. All of this. He sighed when she was out of the cave, and rested his chin on his forearms. He always managed to mess their conversations up....and he wasn't quite sure how to not do. He didn't know what he was doing wrong. Admittedly, he was a little bit downcast after the girl left...it seemed like he was just causing more problems between them the more he talked. They'd said they loved each other, but she'd only kissed him three times, and two of those were just to make him blush. And he couldn't help but wonder if she was just saying that to appease him or if she really meant it.

Quinn got over being confused pretty fast. She grabbed some freshly boiled water for both of them, walking back inside feeling... normal again. Quinn sat down next to Sage and handed him some water. "So, have you ever had any other pets?" Quinn asked cheerfully, smiling. She didn't really care about the earlier comment... it was just slightly confusing to her. Quinn had just decided he was joking around, so she treated it that way.

Sage raised his head to look over at the girl when she came back in again, and was admittedly even more confused. Was she upset or not? Now he couldn't tell. He took the water gratefully though, and shook his head as he lifted it to his lips. "Nope. Just Chaos," he informed her once he'd finished drinking, running his tongue over his mouth. "Unless you count the spider that lives in the corner of my bedroom for like four years," he chuckled lightly.

Quinn tipped her head slightly. "That is sad... no company but Chaos and a spider. The big question now is... did you name the spider?" Quinn asked teasingly, sitting back against the wall and taking a slow sip of water.
