Mari smiled gently when she felt her husbands arms wrap around her a few hours later, and gave a small hum in response to the touch... it did make her smile, and she was pretty happy about it. It was so quiet, so comfortable... all she could hear was the soft pur from Amber in the corner. She sort of turned over to rest her head against Sages chest, and her hand rested softly on his side after a moment or two. She didn't say anything, though... she was just happy to be near to him for a little while.

Sage was more than happy to stay quiet. He sort of made the move to press a sloppy kiss to her head when she rolled over, but he was glad she'd stayed quiet. It was certainly nice to just lay around like this for a while. Amber was the only one making any kind of noise, but it was something that had sort of become part of the silence of the bed. He certainly was grateful for the cat....just another thing he had to thank Mari for, he supposed.

Mari smiled quietly at his kiss, and sort of pulled herself in closer to him, and gently ran her hands up his side. "Morning," she whispered to him after a moment or so, and went to kind of rest her head against his collarbone. It was so comfortable... she was happy, she supposed. Comfortable, in Sages warm embrace and in her soft bed... it was nice, she supposed. Comfortable.

Sage sort of hummed in response to her comment, and tightened his hold around her slightly, though didn't move much other than just curling in a bit more. He was really still half asleep ...sort of in that half awake half asleep stage, just barely aware enough to answer with a hum. It was nice though, and if Mari wasn't getting up then that meant they didn't have to any time soon....so really he was just glad to be able to cuddle like this, warm and comfortable with everyone home and happy. It was very nice. And he wasn't moving for a while yet, and he didn't think Mari was either.

Mari smiled lightly when she felt his arms tighten around her, and went to give him a light smile, sort of tilting her head back to look at him. She thought this most mornings, but she was so lucky. Sage had gotten through of all of his rougher patches... no more bad dreams, less flinching and he just seemed so much more relaxed now. He was better with people now, too... they were lucky. They didn't have much to do now anyway. She sort of rested her head back on the pillow after a moment or two, though, and gave a small sigh.

Sage had felt the cold air in his chest when she moved her head, but other than a slight huff of air, he didn't really react. She settled back down soon enough anyway, and he was too tired to complain about it. Plus it wasn't really that big of a deal. He just curled in tighter again, before settling back down. There was no rush to get up, and he was certainly thankful for it all. It was nice to be able to just relax with Mari in bed like this. With the kids home and sleeping soundly in the rooms beside them.

Mari sort of smiled gently when she felt him constrict around her and gave a small chuckle. She kind of moved to press a hand onto his chest before smiling. "Sage hun we do need to get up at some point," she mused to him softly. She moved to press a soft kiss to his lips before smiling gently. "I was thinking we go see the good doctor today... he may want to say hey to his son," she chuckled. "And you need to see to Atticus, too," she added quietly.

(we need to incorporate some more drama into this some how lol)

Sage sort of only groaned in response to her comments, curling around her tighter, not willing to get up quite yet, even if she wanted to. Well, if she really wanted to he'd get up, but yeah. "Later," he sort of mumbled, though he felt a sleepy smile cross his face in response to her kiss.

Mari huffed out a breath when she felt him tighten around her, but gave a small smile. "I bought you some chocolate for the doctor," she murmured softly. "Figured it'd be something he would like," she added quietly. She seemed to be more awake a lot quicker than him, because while she was already thinking about the day ahead, he was pretty much passed out.

(Not really...I'm running on like two hours of sleep xD)

Sage sort of gave a halfhearted him in response to her comment. He'd heard the basic gist of it...they had a gift for the old man. Good, it would be nice to go visit everyone. He had something small for Anya and Att too, of course, for whenever he got down to the castle again. Though, for now, he'd pretty much just fallen back asleep. He could feel Mari shifting around next to him, of course, but if she wasn't getting up, he wasn't either. And he was admittedly sort of holding her close enough to half keep her from getting up. She could if she really wanted to, of course.
