She swallowed as he ran a hand through her hair, sighing. She gently leaned into his hand. She listened to his question and shut her eyes. "Xander..." Ria sighed, gently pulling her head away from his hand and letting go of him. She paced back across the room anxiously, putting her head in her hands.

He sighed heavily as she pulled away from him "Astoria... Please just answer me" He spoke sternly but still with a calm tone, walking slowly back towards her but still giving her space.

She turned on him and snapped. "I don't know, Xander! I wouldn't, because my entire life I've been deluded into thinking there was only one way my life could go! With you, down the straight and narrow path. I never knew you weren't all there was! And then, I realized; just maybe; it could be different. So no, I don't know what I see in my future! I can't believe it doesn't bother you that the only reason we met was to be wed, eventually. That was always the end goal. No matter if either of us wanted to or not!" She snapped, turning to stare out her window.

He took a step back in a total shock at her finally snapping at him. He listened to her as his face grew colder with every word. "And that's exactly the way your life will go because that's what you were destined for, just as I was destined to be married off to a princess! And suddenly your making it sound as if you never loved me! Which I'm starting to think is true when suddenly you think it can jsut be changed because of some hot shot gardener! Are you even listening to yourself right now?! It can't all be a rainbow on the other end where you get to marry whoever you want, there is reasons on why. Firstly that boy has no idea how to even rule a kingdom, only thing he knows how to work is a shovel! Secondly did you ever consider what the people would think if you'd suddenly marry some stranger that stumbled in your palace, they'd think you were a fool! And lastly all that man wants is your money and to get into your pants!..." He snapped back at her, his voice full of just anger and frustration as what basically came out of her mouth was just nonsense to him. He looked away from her which his gaze landed on the clothes still sprawled on the floor. "My bad... He only wants your money, seeing as he's already gotten to your pants" He said coldly before looking back at her

She turned and raised her voice, tears starting to stream down her face in distress. "Xander, you KNOW that isn't true! I will always love you but I- I just- ugh!" She turned on him again as he started to insult Kennedy. "I know that! And he is every bit of a man as you are, Xander, don't you dare insult him! And they can go ahead and think I'm a fool. Obviously you do." She growled, glaring at him. She took a step back in shock as he crossed the line, spitting out a cold response before she could stop herself. "What, jealous because he got there first?" She asked coldly, narrowing her eyes at him.

He rolled his eyes at her first response, he couldn't help but feel every word she told him was a complete lie. At her second comment he scoffed "Don't even compare him to me! I am more of a man than he ever will be! And I never said I thought you were a fool so don't twist my words!" He growled back at her as a tick appeared in his jaw from clenching his teeth in agitation. At her last comment, his fist clenched slightly "Why you... No, I am not" He seethed back at her through his clenched teeth

She shook her head and walked off to sit on the bed, the fight slipping away from her as fast as it had come. "You would really like him if you gave him a chance, Xan." She murmured softly, staring down at her hands and fidgeting with them. "Im sorry. I'm... not handling this very well." She added quietly.

He watched her carefully, waiting for her next sharp remark, but as she seemed to settle down he was pleased. "I won't be giving him a chance anytime soon" He hissed slightly as unlike Ria he still had a lot of fight left in him and was ready to us it. "Yes, clearly your not. Should I come back when you are more level headed?" He sort of snap coldly

"Don't be an ass, Xander. You aren't good at it." She said sadly, looking up at him with a hurt expression. "If you want to come back later, you can. It might be better for both of us." She sighed, getting up and slowly walking to pick up Kennedy's clothes, gently folding them and laying them on her bed. She moved off to do the same with her clothes, wrapping her undergarments in her shirt, flushing red as she did so. She laid them on her dresser and laid her head in her hands again.

"I'm not trying to be" He snorted out sounding less cold as he was finally starting to calm down, his words that he had said earlier finally starting to sink in at how terrible they were. "I agree, it will be better for the both of us." He agreed quietly while brining his gaze down to the floor as she started to pick up the clothes. He fought himself on whether he should say anything to try and fix it but figured it'd be better to do so later on. "Goodbye, Ria..." Was all he said, shooting her one last glance before walking out of the room.
