"Because I know you love staring into my eyes. AND because I want you to know that none- and I mean none of this, is your fault. Nothing is worse for wear in the end. We're all alive. You, Me, Zeus, Castor, everyone." She leaned into him. "Thank you. For everything."

He stuttered to think of anything to retort, shyly turning away a little but he couldn't break eye contact. "You had the plan and everything, all I did was run and do some stupid things." He narrowed his eyes.

"Hey, that run and those stupid things were pretty important to me. It means a lot. I wish you would stop underselling yourself. And dont narrow your eyes at me like that-" She flicked his shoulder. "I mean it, Ethan."

"I really didn't do anything other than name a man that could snap me in half twice over BUTTERCUP." He said that loud enough Keith probably heard. He smiled a little. "I'll miss him."

"I know you will. I promise, I made sure to miss when I fired at him." She giggled, lifting his arm and putting it over her shoulder.

"Thank god." He giggled, hugging her from the side.

She grinned and leaned into him, shutting her eyes for a few moments. Keith, making his best pouty face, walked over. K "Cuddle time is over, the cripple is here. Shoo, Asta." She blinked and rolled her eyes. "You two have fun." She slipped away and let Keith plop directly in front of Ethan, scurrying away to the opposite edge of the clearing. Keith jumped right to the point. K "Ahem. What is my sister to you?" He leaned in and narrowed his eyes at Ethan, like he was going to X-ray him. For someone that was only- what- two, three years younger than him, he was pretty intimidating. Ethan could probably still beat him without too much of a struggle though. Keith was a bit scrawnier than him.

Ethan grinned at Keith. Just as over protective as he was. He watched Asta walk off, a slightly offended expression. He turned to Keith. Unintimidated through the overprotective glaze that the younger man had. "Shes inbetween." He narrowed his eyes at Keith, examining him for a moment. He seemed to be pushing his luck with a bum leg and less visible muscle had he decided to try winning anything against Ethan. He smiled at Keith without much fear, but he did kinda want Keith's respect.

K "Explain like im an idiot. What does inbetween mean?" He glowered at Ethan angrily, sitting with good posture and his chin lifted in a puffed up, proud moment. Asta was trying like hell not to crack up in the distance, and she couldnt even hear them.

"Inbetween close friend and girlfriend because it has been to chaotic to ask what she wants to be." He smiled innocently, perfectly fine in his fetal position, his knees resting in his elbow crooks. He was still unintimidated but he could tell Keith was trying.
