"Honestly? I don't know... that was the best interaction I've had with them..." she admitted "But they were only tame out of not wanting to make a scene in front of everyone..." she admitted "I don't know what they'll be like when it's just us." She admitted before taking a breath "Let's not talk about it now..." she said trying to put on a happy face "It's our wedding, we should be celebrating so let's celebrate." She said happily.

Sage nodded and pecked her on the cheek, gently taking her hand a squeezing it. "Try not to think about it," he agreed. "Why don't we go eat," he suggested gently. "Relax a bit." He led her back over to the tables, willing to forget the overhanging issue of her parents if she could, too. They might have some issues later, but he'd do his best to stay calm enough so as not to explode... literally or figuratively.

Maxine nodded "I'll try." She assured him before she smiled and nodded again "I can't wait to get into that cake!" She chirped happily Charlie babbling eagerly "And neither can Charlie apparently!?" Max laughed walking with the two of them over to the small buffet table. Later on while Max looked absolutely beautiful... she was eager to get out of her dress... as soon as the door to their house was closed she was already fighting to get out of it even with Charlie in her arms.

Sage chuckled and nodded, just as eager to eat as Max and Charlie. The cake was delicious...as was everything else. The girls had done a wonderful job with it all, and it was, arguably, one of the happiest days of his life so far. Once they got home, he waited no longer than Max did to get redressed into something much more comfortable than the suit he had been wearing all day long...back to his tshirt and black pants of some comfy fabric (he didn't know what it was, nor did he really care). After that, he took the giggling Charlie from Max so she could more easily change and plopped down on the couch with her. It had been a great day, but he was exhausted.

Maxine was quick to get out of her dress and toss it aside before she grabbed one of Sage's t-shirts and put it on joining him on the couch not even bothering with anything underneath but her underwear that looked like a simple blue pair of shorts before she joined Sage on the couch "I'm so glad it's official... we're husband and wife." She purred sleepily.

Sage looked over at her and wrapped his arms around her, cuddling up and nodding happily. "Maxine Acker," he hummed. "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear that," he chuckled before yawning slightly. Charlie fell asleep rather quickly, so he patted Max's arm sleepily. "I'll put Charlie down. Why don't we get to bed! It's getting late and we've been out and about all day "

Max giggled softly "I love it." She purred nodding in agreement "Actually I might have some idea because I've been waiting just as long." She winked playfully giving a yawn seemingly in response to his before she nodded in agreement "Hey mister you still have one thing to do... after you put Charlie down you gotta carry me over a threshold..." She teased playfully.

Sage let out a playful groan at her promoting, though of course he was going to do it...he really didn't mind. Half of him had the mind to have Max hold Charlie while he carried her, just because it might be kind of funny, but he shook the thought from his hand and hauled himself up from the couch to wander over and put Charlie, who was already asleep, in her crib. Then he gently took Max's hand and tugged her over before scooping her off her feet and carrying her over and across, giving the girl a playful grin before going over to the bed and dropping her on it. It wasn't far...it wouldn't hurt her, he made sure if that. Then he crawled in beside her and gave her a playful pout. "Now can we go to bed," he whined, though he made sure that Max knew he'd enjoyed every minute of the day.

Max gave a giggle when he picked her up looping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek yelping in surprise when she was suddenly dropped she gave him a sleepy/playful scowl and giggled "Of course we can." She giggled "But when I'm not so tired you better not do that again unless you can finish what you start." She teased playfully cuddling close and falling asleep within a few moments. It was early when Max had woken up... she knew her parents were going to drop by today so when Charlie woke her up to eat about 2 hours ago she fed her and started cleaning... she didn't nwant to give her parents another thing to barate her about by not having the place looking decent despite that most of what was in the house was what remained of the final details of the wedding planning... it wasn't a huge mess but if her parents were coming she wasn't going to give them a reason to complain though in the back of her mind she knew they'd find one.

Sage chuckled and wrapped his arms around the girl, slightly amused with her teasing. "We can have some fun tomorrow night," he promised, knowing that if her parents did stop by, she'd need to...unwind a bit. He fell asleep pretty quickly, and ended up sleeping a bit longer than Max the next morning. She was already up and about when he woke up, looked at the clock through squinting eyes, and groaned. He hated mornings, he really did, but of course he knew he couldn't mess around...Max was already working and he had to actually shower and get ready. He yawned and slid out of the bed, padding over to Max to plant a kiss on her cheek and murmur something about helping her after he showered. Hopefully the shower would wake him up a bit before her parents got here. Being still half asleep wouldn't help anything.
