Caden awoke a little bit later a nervous wreck, getting up to use the bathroom before splashing freezing cold water on his face, the shock waking him right up. He went back out, laying down once again.
| |
| |

"Caden?" She said, still wide awake. "I'm sorry"
| |
| |

Caden stayed quiet for a moment, long enough it seemed he was asleep before quietly answering with one word. "Why?"
| |
| |

"I'm not being the most helpful or best woman I can be for you and I feel bad..." She said softly, turning over to rub his back gently
| |
| |

"I just," He paused, sighing as he didn't know how to explain it, turning towards her. "I just wanted to be the real version of me for you for once, not the doped up always happy always having no problems in the world Caden, just. . . who you married, I guess."

| |

She nodded. "You know I don't like you smoking or drinking, though"
| |
| |

"I know I just, I don't know how else to cope with everything." He noted, staring up at the ceiling.
| |
| |

"I wish I could do more..."
| |
| |

"Uh-uh, no, stop it. Don't you dare start blaming yourself for anything you didn't do, quit it. None of that was your fault, it was all my decisions which lead me there, you didn't do anything, okay?" He asked, turning towards her.
