Travis chuckled "Your fiancee added that little detail for you... At least that's what Hailey told me." He shrugged looking down at his phone and replying to his wife before he looked back up at him "Relax... You have nothing to worry about... You love Max and it feels right... Right?" He asked patting his friend on the shoulder "If you're not relaxed now you will be when you see your beautiful fiancee walking down the aisle." He told him "Now go get dressed and I will help spruce you up a bit." He smiled. Max was incredibly nervous as well... She'd spent the night with Hailey (they didn't need anymore bad luck in their lives.) "Gosh I'm so nervous..." Maxine chuckled uneasily. She'd invited her parents after finding their current address... She had no idea if they'd even come and boy she regretted it... Not because she didn't want to see them but because it was the way she'd gone about it... She hadn't called she'd basically just sent an invitation... She couldn't find the courage to pick up the phone and call them now she wished she had. Within half an hour the last few details were in place and they were ready to go... Max felt sick to her stomach but she couldn't wait to see her fiancee er... Husband? She wasn't sure what she should call him just yet. Hailey was sat with Lizzie and the kids and Travis was sat beside his wife... A few of Sage's demon friends (including Roxie believe it or not) had come to the wedding as well. Maxine now walked herself down the aisle toward her soon-to-be husband a bright smile on her face, she was in a simple white gown with some beautiful teal ombre at the bottom it criss crossed over her chest and the bell sleeves draped over her arms beautifully, her hair was curled and partially tied up with a crown braid and some tiny faux feathers tucked into the braid and in her hair with a few beads... Her makeup was minimal but she looked stunning. As she reached the Gazebo she paused when she heard a familiar voice her face paled and she felt even sicker when she heard her father's voice "Maxine?" Her father was a tall man lean but with a stern face despite his bright blue eyes that matched his daughter and granddaughters eyes damn near perfectly accompanied by salt and peppered hair and his simple black suit. Her mother stood beside him her face was also quite stern but her brown eyes were soft as they laid upon her daughter... Her own slightly salt and peppered hair was tied up in a bun.. they'd came... They'd actually came... Max couldn't believe it... What should she do? She wondered "O-oh... C-continue..." Her father said guiding his wife to one of the pairs of chairs further back in the small crowd. Maxine looked to Sage now... She needed his encouragement to continue now more then ever. |

Sage couldn't help but snort in amusement when Travis shooed him towards the bathroom. This was the only time Max would see him dressed up like this probably, so she'd better appreciate it. Though he knew she would. He got ready pretty quickly, and once he came out of the bathroom Travis messed around with his hair and all that. He insisted of giving him a haircut too, which was pretty much just a kind of undercut that took some of the side hair off but the rest flopped over the side of his head in a way that looked good according to Travis (and he did like it too). Hopefully Max would like it. Travis had even insisted on shining his earring...it was a lot, though he did look amazing if he did say so himself. Well, more amazing than normal. Really, he was just kidding himself with those thoughts...the scars on his face tended to seem to take away, though he knew Max didn't care. He shifted his weight nervously as he waited for Max, up in the small pedestal. He was nervous, though tried to force it down...he wasn't used to this. He was excited too, if course, but he wasn't ever nervous, so why not? Oh well, it made it better he supposed. His jaw dropped when he first saw Max, and quite honestly forgot to breathe for a moment before he snapped his mouth closed and blinked, bringing himself back to reality. Though, he did see her reaction when a man stopped her briefly. He looked like her ...was it her father? Did her parents come? He gave her a bright smile though, hoping it would encourage the girl. |

Maxine thought Sage looked incredibly handsome with his new haircut... Though she had to admit shed miss his shaggy hair it was nice to see a cleaner look on him he looked so handsome. After her father spoke she was frozen... She had no idea what to do... No no... She told herself focus on Sage... She told herself she gave him a nod and gulped before she stepped up beside him handing Hailey the small bouquet she had been carrying... Through the ceremony however she couldn't help but keep glancing at her parents... As if she were trying to see if they approved or not... It was clear her confidence was shaken. When she finally got to kiss her now husband she felt like she was going to barf but she still happily embraced him and kissed him passionately for a few long seconds it was just the two of them... However when she needed to breathe again she was forced back into reality. When they turned back toward their small audience who were clapping and cheering for the two of them she held her breath for a few seconds before she and Sage stepped down and started heading down the aisle again though Max stopped to grab Charlie and her bouquet on the way. |

Sage couldn't believe this was all happening...it had taken such a long time to plan, and Max looked so amazing. He could feel his stomach tightening even more when he kissed the girl - in a good way of course, but this was different than all the other times he'd kissed her, she was his wife now. He happily followed Max down to grab Charlie, knowing the girl was a bit frazzled. He kind of hovered around her protectively, and he had to admit he was a pretty scary looking guy sometimes and could definitely scare off anyone who tried anything. He would prefer not to scare her parents away, but he didn't really trust them. He did know she'd have to talk things over with them though....it would make all of them feel better. |

When they were all enjoying themselves at the small after party after Max had her first dance with her husband her parents came to see them "Maxine..." Her father said in a rather judgemental tone her mother putting a hand on her father's shoulder "Lance... We agreed we'd be civil..." She reminded him looking from her husband to Maxine "Maxine..." She said her tone gentler "Aren't you going to introduce us to our son in law?" She asked "And apparently our granddaughter?" She added. Max took in a breath and gave a hesitant nod "This is Sage... Sage... This is Lance and Mary... My parents." She said hesitantly "And this is your granddaughter Charlie." She said as the little girl in her arms babbled. Neither of them softener even at the sight of their granddaughter and there was tension in the air tension that couldn't even be cut with a knife. Lance offered a hand to Sage "Nice to meet you..." He said gruffly when he took Sage's hand it was harsh... Almost meant to break bone she only hoped that Sage being a demon her father couldn't break his hand. |

Sage could definitely feel the tension in the air, it was pretty hard to miss. He nodded a sort of greeting at Max's parents, trying to be civil. If they were trying them he would try. And he did realize that he wasn't exactly someone who looked like a caring husband or father either. So he supposed he could give them some leeway about being judgmental. Though, when Lance practically tried to break his hand, he squeezed back plenty hard enough, though he did try to keep in mind Max's father was still human and therefore easily breakable. Max probably wouldn't appreciate her new husband breaking her fathers... anything on her wedding day. "Yeah," he muttered, trying to not growl at the man. He desperately hoped her parents wouldn't ruin the day for Max...her mother seemed alright, but he was worried about the father. |

Lance raised a brow at him before he let the long tense handshake go "So how long has this been going on?" Her father asked. Max was uncertain how to answer that... Charlie had been born 6 months early *technichally*... wow... they'd only been together about 4 months... and for 3 of those Max had been on her own... was this right? She thought no no of course it was... she loved Sage very much. She hadn't had a doubt in her mind until now... "Almost a year." She said finally looking at her folks "Charlie is about a month old and we've been together since I found out Charlie even existed..." she replied. She hated lying but now was definitely not the time to tell her parents well... everything. |

Sage nodded, going along with Max's lie. The incident with Charlie being born six months early was...well, no one would believe that would be possible. They'd have to have something to say to people, and this worked. Besides, he understood not wanting to hell her parents everything quite yet, especially with how they were acting right about then. "Max helped me out with something, and it went from there," he added in. It was vague enough where he wasn't telling them much but specific enough they (hopefully) wouldn't ask too many questions. Though, lots of questions about him would make him feel like they loved their daughter a bit more, he could admit that. |

Max nodded offering her folks a smile as Charlie babbled happily "I see..." Mary said with a nod though she sounded judgemental as she looked Sage up and down a curious light in her eyes as Max held Charlie close "Uhm... we don't have a huge place at the moment but you're welcome to stay?" Max offered though she immediately regretted it "No no... it's fine we'll stop by tomorrow..." Mary assured "We have a nice hotel to stay in." She assured "Okay..." Max said before she told her folks their address. They had more questions they wanted to ask but neither of them did... at least the one thing they seemed to understand was that there was a right and wrong place to do things and their daughters wedding wasn't exactly the right place to do it so they said their goodbyes gave a half hearted congratulations and left. |

Sage huffed out a kind of relieved breath when they made their way out of the wedding place. At least they didn't come in and blow things completely up...they seemed to be decent enough people that they knew that a wedding wasn't time to bombard the new couple with questions. He looked over at Max, a slightly worried look on his face. "You alright?" He knew it all had to be shocking...and while they hadn't really been all that aggressive besides Lances very firm handshake his own parents had hurt him...he subconsciously was wary of that from these parents, both for him and Max. And little Charlie, too. He knew neither of them trusted him though, either, but he was used to that kind of reactions from people. |
