Rose got up, stretching with a tired smile

Caden stood on the back porch, clearly lost in thought as he smoked a cigarette, something he hadn't done in years after quitting ages ago. Murphy stood at his feet, looking up at him for a moment before walking back off. The man snapped out of his trance, glancing inside and paling slightly as he quickly stomped out the cigarette, pushing it into the grass with his foot at the sight of Rose awake as he avoided looking inside anymore.

Her face fell at the sight, causing her to sigh and go upstairs silently.

Caden sat at one of the chairs, pulling another from the pack before lighting it, taking a long drag as Murphy trotted over, hopping up on the chair beside him.

Rose sat upstairs, lost in thought

The man remained downstairs, now on his third cigarette of the night as he sat there, too scared to go inside and see either a.) Rose mad at him, or b.) dissapointed at him, which either one was like a stab to the heart.

Rose eventually went downstairs and cooked some pasta she was craving, a blank expression on her face
| |
| |

Caden's expression contorted to one of worry, the man starting to fidget as he continued smoking, glancing inside at Rose and sighing, his anxiety growing.

She finished making the food and walked out to Caden, placing n the table a bowl of it with a fork stabbed into the middle of the fod. She silently turned and walked inside.

"Ro-" He cut off, the door shutting behind her. The man just sighed, waiting until she was out of the kitchen before slipping inside, opening the medicine cabinet before grabbing his medicine bottles and dumping out the pills, quickly taking them before putting them away, walking back outside to eat.
