He chuckled lightly and nodded in response to her comment, then wrinkled his nose when she added he looked tired too. "That bad, huh," he noted with amusement. He hummed lightly when she pecked his cheeks and grunted with a nod. "Only if you come with me," he chirped. "I want you to get to bed nice and early too. Goodness knows Silas will be waking us both up at the crack of dawn," he added with a fond chuckle as he moved to stand up with a grunt. He padded upstairs before deciding to just make a nice warm bath, and add some bubbles and things like that....setting it up all nice and pretty with some candles and stuff, sort of as a pre-christmas present sort of thing. Of course, hed be in the bath too, but it was something cute he sort of just thought of in the moment for Mari, too.

The girl kind of wrinkled her nose at him and nodded. "You look half dead babe," she mused lightly before shaking her head. She cocked her head as though in thought before nodding. "I'll be up in a bit. And yeah, I'd rather not be grotty in the morning," she chuckled lightly to him. She wanted to be awake for the kids... be happy and bubbly for them. If not Liz then Silas, since he was more likely to remember it all. She watched him wander off before going to clear up a bit and got some pyjamas ready for them before wandering into the breath room to put them on the chair, though when she saw Sage in the tub she gave him a happy little grin. "This is adorable," she chirped happily to him.

Sage had sort of just slid into the water happy to wait for her, since it was warm water. He had certainly missed the nice warm water, so he was more than happy to just close his eyes and relax for a few minutes while he waited for her to come up. He grinned over at her when he heard her speak up and chuckled. "I came up with this idea approximately three minutes ago," he laughed lightly before sort of holding his hands out a little bit. "Now get in here so we're not up until midnight," he teased her lightly, scooting over a bit so there was room for her to slide in too. They had to actually wash themselves at some point...but that was fine, he just wanted to relax with her for a bit.

Mari smiled softly to the boy and after a moment gave a heavy sigh. "It's adorable. Your last minute idea is perfect," she mused softly to him before quickly getting undressed and slipping into the bath next to him. She sat down in the hot water and pressed a light kiss to his shoulder before leaning on him slightly. It smelled good... the candles were a sort of sweet vanilla scent, which smelled absolutely amazing... it was all just very relaxing.

He chuckled slightly in response to her comment and nodded with a hum. "Those normally seem to work out better than something I plan out," he noted with amusement. In all honesty, most of his crazy ideas were just randomly there and he decided to act on them....he didn't normally plan very much. He didn't mind that too much though, he supposed...and Mari thought it was adorable, so he certainly wasn't going to complain about it. He hummed happily when she slid in, giving her a grin in response to her peck and wrapping his arms around her to cuddle in when she leaned against him, letting out a soft huff of air. It was definitely nice to be able to do this sort of thing with her. It was all just very nice. A good way to start of this whole Christmas thing, if he did say so himself.

The girl sort of shrugged at his comment and gave a chuckle. "Well, whatever the case it's lovely," she hummed lightly, closing her eyes a little as she let herself relax into his touch and the warm water relax her muscles a little. "Well, I mean, you did say you were going to spoil me," she hummed to him ina slightly teasing tone. She gently trailed her hand up and down his torso, which at this point had even more scarred tissue than when they'd met... she wasn't even sure how it was possible, and he had to be in pain... but he was still curled up with her, which is something she couldn't be happier about.

Sage felt his lips curl into a grin when she said it was lovely anyway, and he hummed in agreement with her comment, laughing slightly after a moment. "I did say that, didn't I," he mused. "Just you wait until tomorrow night," he added in a bit more of a mischevious manner. "Maybe I should have waited for this until after," he teased her lightly. Really, he was just joking around, of course, but he figured he'd flirt and all and if something did wind up happening, it would certainly be a nice time for it, it being CHristmas night and all. And no doubt the kids would be in bed early too, since they'd be up wayyy early...which would give them plenty of time to do as they pleased.

The girl nodded and gave him a happy grin. "Mhmm," she hummed happily to him, curling up into him a litttle bit more. "Fine. Tomorrow night." She murmured softly to him, giving a light smile. She poked his rib lightly before giving a laugh. "You should have for sure. Baths are for getting clean after all," she mused to him before sort of moving to wrap herself around him happily. They'd have a nice day tomorrow, though... the kids would be over the moon, and dinner would be amazing for sure... or, she hoped so. She hoped it all went welll.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment and pecked the side of her head. "You do still owe me that jump," he teased her lightly. If she didn't want to, it of course wouldn't happen...and he was fine with that. But he also knew she'd never turned him down before, so he figured if it came to that then they'd have their fun. He squeaked and pulled away from her poke after a moment, pretending to be injured and then sinking mostly into the warm water. "Oh, I've been attacked," he fake groaned, not able to keep his laughter in. 'mmmm....maybe we'll just have to have one two days in a row then," he chirped lightly. He had a small gift to her from 'the kids'....it was basically a few small bottles of stuff to put in the water to make it smell nice or whatever, and some salts that were supposedly good for you. Silas had actually found it, and asked about it, and when sage had asked if he wanted to give it to mommy, the boy had been eatatic about it. He really was excited for it to all happen....it would be great, he knew it.

Mari gave him a sort of look before pecking his lips happily. "The house wasn't clean when I got back, so no jumping for you," she teased him gently before shaking her head. "You didn't earn it," she then added with a bit of a laugh. She then pouted at his little jokes, and went to poke him again. "Please, look at the state of you. If you call being poked in the ribs attacked I don't know how we're gonna get along!" She told him with a bit of a laugh. She gave him a soft hum again before going to wrap her arms around his side again, and pressed another kiss to his lips. "Oh, you're gonna make it this fancy twice in a row? How lucky am I?" She mused lightly.
