"Well good, i'm glad." She mused, Liz interupting with asking how you wrote a 'z'. Elara chuckled, showing her how before the girl finished and looked back at Sage, grinning.

Sage nodded, peering down at Liz as she asked about a z, glancing over at elara, since he wasn't going to be any help here. "Looks good, Liz," he chirped lightly, though really he couldn't tell how good she was doing since the letters didn't mean much to him. He could figure out what she was writing, but he wasn't going to be writing things himself any time soon

"Thanks," She mused, attempting to write Sage's name but getting stuck on 's'. Elara showed her, Liz eventually writing it straight after a few tries. The woman looked back at him, curious. "You do spell your name like that... right?"

| |

Sage just watch the two of them interact happily, though elaras comment caught him off guard and he squinted at the letters before nodding with a shrug. "That's how people have always spelled it, so I'd assume so," he mused. "What I've always gone with I guess."

| |

She nodded, watching as the girl doodled a drawing.

Sage half kept an eye on what Liz was doing, but found himself watching elara as she interacted with the little girl. He had to admit he was a little curious about reading and writing ....but he felt a little embarrassed about asking if she'd teach him.

"You know how to write? Not saying I don't think you can just, never know." She mused simply, glancing over at Sage as she asked the question.
| |
| |

Sage felt a light blush take over his cheeks as he shook his head, admitting he couldn't. "Street kid, remember? Never went to school," he pointed out, glancing over at her. "Can't read either," he added before she asked about that too
| |
| |

"Right, right.." She nodded, listening to the rest of his words. "Would you like me to teach you? It's really not too hard, just takes practice." Elara explained.
| |
| |

Sage had turned to respond to a question Liz had asked, but then turned back to Elara when she mentioned teaching him, heasitating as he thought. It was a little embarrassing....but it would be a useful skill. "Sure," he decided on after a moment, offering her a small smile. 'thanks."
