Sage snorted at the girl's comments, rather amused by it. He didn't have the breath to talk back though, so a grunt would have to do. He pretty much let the girl drag him back to the pile of blankets, where his knees practically gave out on him and he all but collapsed, even with Quinn's help. He lay down and closed his eyes tiredly, just trying to catch his breath. He could wipe his forehead off in a minute, once he's rested for a moment.. he didn't even have any energy to wipe the sweat off his face. Though, he felt an amused smile cross his face at the girl's comment, chuckling a bit.

Quinn tipped her head, glancing down at Sage. "Breathe. It's a good thing." She informed him, deciding now would be a great time to check his wound, but not do anything with it. Quinn unwrapped the bandage gently and peeked at the wound. Is wasnt swollen and wasn't infected... that was a good thing. Quinn decided to leave the bandage on for a couple more days, then she would take it off and let the wound air out. She wrapped it back up, leaning back with a sigh.

Sage rolled his eyes when the girl mentioned that breathing was good...it was very good, and he knew that, which was probably what made it so amusing. He wiped the sweat off his forehead after a moment with his sleeve, then let his arm just flop over his face. He let the girl mess about with the bandages, and whatever else she did while he caught his breath. Luckily, he could breathe again quickly...he supposed he was pretty fit, normally, which was helpful in this situation.

"Why'd you roll your eyes at me? Breathing IS a good thing!" Quinn laughed, glancing down at him. "Anyway, how does the wound feel? Very painful? Just tiring?" She asked, wanting to know what it was like when he walked. That could give her an idea of how long to keep him stationary

Sage chuckled lightly and let his arm flop down beside him so he could look up at Quinn while they talked. "It hurts like hell, but it's a bullet wound," he snorted. "It's gonna hurt for a while." Then he shrugged. "I'm alright....just tired," he hummed. "Don't worry about it too much, I'll manage."

Quinn glanced outside. "Well... there is this thing... it's called common sense. Common sense says if you are tired... fall asleep." Quinn snickered, making sure Sahara and Chaos were both okay as she looked out. "I won't have to worry about you if you're asleep." She chuckled, looking back to Sage

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "Sleep does sound like a good idea," he admitted. Then he wrinkled his nose. "But I just woke up, so it feels silly to just go back to sleep after barely walking a few steps," he huffed. Then he grinned. "Besides, common sense sometimes gets things wrong."

Quinn gasped. "Common sense NEVER gets things wrong!" She snorted, glancing outside. "And it doesn't matter if you just woke up... I did too, and I'm going to take a nap." Quinn said haughtily, a slightly amused tone showing in her voice. She leaned her head back against the wall and closed her eyes, starting to drift off.

Sage sorted and then cocked his head slightly when the girl settled down again. Well, he supposed they could take a nap....he was awfully tired after all that. Really, hed been fighting to stay awake, but now it seemed more sensible to just take a nap for a bit. So he scooted over to Quinn as best he could, and rested his head on her lap, like usual, and fell asleep pretty much as soon as he curled up against the girl.

Quinn smiled slightly, feeling Sage come over to sit by her. She felt more comfortable then. And fell asleep quickly. For once... Quinn fell into a deep enough sleep she didn't have nightmares about Sage dying. It was a nice feeling.
