Travis nodded happily "What can I do to help?" He asked. Once he got his task he got started right away. Max giggled "No it's both of our choice..." He assured him giving him a hug before nodding "Of course." She said taking the leg and getting started listening to the girls as they cooed over the kids and the guys as they talked about things she didn't quite understand. Once they finished cooking up dinner she sat with everyone "So boys how was it with two kids?" Hailey asked raising a brow at the two of them.

Sage happily gave Travis tasks and handed the leg over to Max. "I know I know," he chuckled. "Don't worry." They kinda just screwed around for a while until sage shooed them out of the kitchen to put everything over the oven. He glanced over at Hailey and grinned. "well mine just tried to tear my earring out of my head," he chuckled. "But only one of them could walk around and he had fun so no one died." He grinned and gave her a thumbs up. "I think we did great!"

"Ollie used to do that all the time... Whenever I'd burp him he'd tug on my earrings so much I actually had to start taking them out when I burped him..." She chuckled "I feel your pain..." She chuckled as Travis and Max vacated the kitchen "Well that's certainly an accomplishment..." Max teased glancing from Travis to Sage "I think you did great too." She chuckled happily.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "They do seem to like dangly shiny things " Then he made a face and shrugged. "Which hey, they're cool." He glanced over at Charlie, who giggled. "I like my ear attached to my head though," he laughed slightly. Once the food was ready and everyone had eaten, Sage sat down in the living room next to Max, Charlie on his lap. He leaned into Max slightly, more than happy to sit down with her to plan wedding ....stuff. "so. What are we trying to figure out," he chirped.
| |
"Yes... Very much." Hailey agreed with a laugh "Yes they're cool but like you said we'd like to keep our ears..." Hailey agreed happily. Max smiled at him "Two colors for the streamers were going to wrap around the columns of the gazebo... And the song we have our first dance as husband and wife to." She said gently "I thought we could do our favorite colors?" She suggested "I personally want teal." She smiled looking at him.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "Teal it is then." He shrugged. "You know me, I'm a black kind of person," he chuckled. "But that's also not exactly wedding colors either," he admitted. "So I guess I just gotta figure out how to make black look wedding-ish," he eventually decided on. He looked over at the girls and grinned. "Y'all might have a challenge this time," he chuckled.

Max thought for a moment and smiled "I thought you might say that so I was already thinking of ways to make it work. She smirked playfully "We'll figure it out somehow..." She assured him "I highly doubt we're going to do much of a traditional wedding..." She admitted giving a gentle sigh the other girls swooning over the two of them "You two are adorable..." Hailey cooed happily. When they left later that night Max smiled as she came out from their room after putting Charlie to bed "There's one more thing we should think about... Our song." She said "What should be the first thing we dance to?" She asked laying on top of Sage in a playful manor.

Sage chuckled and nodded, scrunching his nose up slightly at Hailey's comment, though really all in play. He wasn't sure he counted as adorable, but hey, he'd take it. Sage wrapped his arms around Max and kissed her temples when she flipped on top of him. "Hmmm, I don't really know many songs that would be appropriate for a wedding," he laughed. "But I suppose just something that has our feelings for eachother in it. We can listen to some different songs and see what we like."
| |
Max chuckled "I'll put together a playlist and you can listen to it... I have a couple songs in mind but you get to make the final choice." She smiled looking at Charlie and kissing over her face "I think you will sit with Auntie Hailey and Ollie..." She cooed happily before her smile dropped and she took a breath looking at Sage "Am I wrong for feeling such mixed emotions on wanting and not wanting to invite my parents...?" She asked hesitantly.

Sage smiled and nodded then reached over to pat their daughter gently. He looked back over at Max and shook his head. "Not at all. You haven't seen them in years, it's only natural. You should invite them, try to make amends, though. The worst they can do is not show up, and then at least you know for sure about them. But I have a feeling they'll be glad you reached out," he admitted. Her parents didn't seem like bad people...not like his. He had a feeling that getting the family back together would be good for the girl, and her parents
