"Yeah, thanks," she sighed, somewhat bitterly.

Jason could tell the tone in her voice as he winced softly in upsetness. "Sorry..." He murmured, walking off to his room to get changed into something more presentable.

"Its fine," she muttered. She walked to her bedroom, getting ready for the event. She didnt have anything super nice, so she just wore her old satin green, form fitting prom dress from high-school and the matching heels. She appeared at the door, hair curled, makeup done, ready to go.

Jason waited out in his car, having changed into a tuxedo earlier. He watched as Esme got in the car. "You look nice." He murmured, trying to not upset her any more then she already was. Jason felt really guilty for this, but he had no choice.

"Thanks," she muttered, buckling in, sitting, ready to go.

Jason drove silently over to the place, not bothering Esme as much as he could. He drove into the parking lot and parked, hopping out and opening Esme's door silently, with a soft nod.

Esme got out, murmuring a quiet thanks to him and then looping her arm around his when he offered it. She plastered on a fake smile as the two walked towards the door.

Jason met one of his buddies at the door, nodding and walking into the building, looking around for a table that they could set their stuff down at. He found a table and led Esme over, not letting go of her hand.

Esme walked around with him, following him around. She examined the room, but stayed quiet.

Jason chose a table, pulling out a seat for Esme, sitting down next to her as a couple approached, sitting down infront of them, saying hellos and how handsome or pretty everyone was. Jason greeted them lightheartedly.
