Noah put his phone down, feeling empty, tired, stressed and overwhelmed. He looked around, feeling quite alone. When the feelings became too much he went into his bedside table and grabbed his lighter. He sighed. He knew he shouldn't do this... but it was so tempting... he gave it and yanked his sweatpants down to his knees. He rolled his boxers up, revealing the few little burn marks on his thigh. Noah flicked the lighter on watching the flame for a moment. He lowered it too his skin, next to the other works, the flame meeting his skin. Noah closed his eyes and took a deep breath, focusing on the burning. He started counting to 5 aloud, "1... 2... 3..." he muttered. |

Em eventually left,walking into the dorm tiredly and stopping and just staring at Noah. "Y'know,I'm not even going to ask but honestly,you concern me." She says,grabbing her things before heading down to shower. |

Noah Carpenter - Noah's eyes went wide as she caught him. He froze, but flicked the lighter off, stopping the burn of his skin. Now another dark burnt spot of skin joined the others. As soon as she left, he unfroze, stuffing the lighter back into his bedside table and fixing his clothing. He rolled over, blushing furiously. He'd never been caught burning himself before, although from the angle she saw it she probably thought he was touching himself... Noah stared at the wall, hoping she wouldn't ask anything about what she just saw. |

Em came back up from her shower in a sweatshirt and sweatpants,just meh. She set her stuff down and turned to him,crossing her arms and looking at him. "Honestly,I just want to know one thing.Why?Y'know,if you ever need anybody to talk to,i'm litteraly taking psycology,I have to deal with you for the rest of the year,might as well help you if I can." She announces,waiting for a answer,a mumble,a word,anything,really. |

Noah Carpenter - Noah didn't turn to her. No one knew about his burns. No one. Not until now. The way she spoke to him made him sound like he was a burden, which just made those feelings worse. "I'm fine," he muttered, lying. Noah really didn't want to talk about it. |

Em just sighed,going to lay down in her bed. "Alright then but,anytime you need to talk to somebody,i'll be here." And with that she flicked off her light,heading into light sleep. |

Noah Carpenter - Noah didn't reply. He just stayed there. He didn't sleep that night. Around two a.m., the emotions rose again and he was on the verge of a panic attack, so he quietly grabbed the lighter from his bedside table and slipped out and over to the bathroom. He locked himself in a stall and flicked the lighter on again, watching the flame as he pulled his sweatpants to his knees and rolled up his boxers again. |

Em awoke with a yawn at roughly 4:15.Yeah...she wasn't headin back to bed.She grabbed her phone and logged onto some app,doomscrolling for awhile and starting to feel like shit,as she did without her medicene. |

Noah Carpenter - Noah had fallen asleep after he'd burned himself. Now he sat on the floor of the bathroom stall, lighter still in his hand, sweats to his knees, boxers still rolled up, exposing the little flame burn marks on his thigh. |

Emery groaned and stood,searching for her medicene and taking two pills,simmering back down to the bed and drifting back into sleep. She didn't have any classes today....which meant she was going to sleep as long as her body let her. |
