About a day or so had passed since Ella last went down to even see Sage, meaning he had had several different men take food and drink down, she had no idea whether he had been beaten again, left alone or even fed. It wasn't purely because she didnt want to have to go down there every single day, but because her father had kept her strictly inside unless a guard was with her. If she wanted to go out and see her friends? A guard. If she needed to go and see the nurse? A guard. She had asked why multiple times but her father had never left any information go. Once the day had passed, and it had started to dim into the night, Ella's reality finally hit her. She had no idea whether Sage had been fed or taken water, and whilst her dad knew he was stopping her from going outside, he would most defintiely still blame her if Sage was weak from lack of nutrients.

She got herself out of bed and made her way to the kitchen, grabbing pieces of fruit and a sandwich that had simply been left on the side, grabbing a glass of water and as quietly as possible made herself down to Sage. She wasnt eager by any means, but then again she didnt want to deal with the wrath from her dad. Ella set the dishes down in front of him once she was there, stepping back to sort of..examine him. "Miss me?" She asked, the usual sarcasm flooding into her voice.

Sage had known something was wrong, but when it had been a day or two since Ella had come down...or really been anywhere around, judging from what he could hear...she was being kept somewhere safe. Which meant there would defintiely be some sort of attack, and soon. It did worry him a bit...whoever attacked his group could very well catch him as well as Ella, or her father....and that wouldn't be good for either of them. For whatever reason, he didn't want the girl getting caught or tortured...as much as he didn't like her, he doubted she'd last long in a position like he was in, especially hurt.

He had plenty of time to think and worry about it all though, because the only person who came in was a guard who tossed him a canteen, and another man who seemed to think threatening him and beating him into a brief unconsciousness was a good way to get him to talk to him. So, he certainly wasn't having the best time...then again, that was an understatement and a rather obvious one at that. So, he'd juat...lay there, waiting for something to happen, whichever way it went. He'd run out of water long ago, and between the hot days and freezing nights, he was quickly running out of...everything.

When he heard the girl's voice though, he chuckled slightly, propping himself up on a forearm weakily, and with a slight wince. "Oh yeah, that cheery voice of yours really just makes my day," he snorted, though it admittedly lacked the usual bite it usually had to it. He was just tired, he supposed. Hungry. Cold, by now. But still had enough brain left to be annoying.

Ella narrowed her eyes and flashed Sage a sarcastic smile, her gaze travelling up and down his body. Clearly, the guards had gotten to him again. She let out a small sigh though didnt say anything, crossing her arms for a couple of seconds. She was in a hoodie with a shirt under, and leggings though still somewhat quite cold- it had been boiling all day, so it was strange. "Maybe I shouldn't have bought anything down for you" she sighed, peering up the stairs to what she could see outside. As she was about to say a very half hearted goodbye and go back upstairs she stopped, listening to a couple voices, starting at a whisper and getting a lot louder, a lot faster. She didnt recognise a single one, and from the eventual distressed cries, there was something wrong. "Can you..hear that?" She asked, though regretted it immedatiely. If Sage wasnt able to hear anything then he would most defintiely mock her for even asking.

Ella bit her inner lip and made her way upstairs, deciding it would be best to just run from the top to her room, but her plans were very quickly foiled. A bunch of her guards rushed past, crashing into the open door and slamming it shut, leaving her stopped at the top stair. She did her best to open it though it was completely jammed, and a slightly pale look flooded Ella's complexion. She could hear the cries outside of people she had never heard before, and the worry of people she..had heard. Were they being attacked?

Ella slowly made her way back down to the bottom stair and across to the window, peering out as if she would be able to see anything and not just a large brick wall that only led to another underground room, built for the same reason as the one they were in. Eventually, she turned round to look at Sage. "I think we have a problem." she said slowly, leaning against the wall.

Sage had rolled his eyes slightly in response to the girls comment, grumbling "then why did you," though he tensed slightly when he heard the commotion. It was far away, sort of, but it wasn't normal camp behavior. "Unfprtunately," he noted in response to the girl's comment, focring himself to his feet and limping over to the window, attempting to peer outside. "I take it that's not normal camp behavior," he mused, cocking his head slightly as he listened to the noise. It was definitely getting closer, but there wasn't like there was much either of them could do at this point.

He jumped when the door slammed shut, and whirled around to see the girl trapped inside. With him. Wonderful. This was msot definitely not what either of them needed. He pursed his lips slightly when she moved to the window, and he quickly slid to the side, so he was far enough away that if she freaked out or....something....he was out of ehr way, hopefully enough to not get hurt any more than he already was. "I would say so," he noted, crossing his arms slightly. "Has your dad said anything to you as to what's going on?" Despite the fact that he didn't like the girl, he was all business now, which left no time for bickering. But they needed to keep themselves safe now, which depended on the two of them working together, at least until they were safe. "The guards have mentioned some....but most of them don't know much, just that the boss was on edge and something was going to happen," he murmured, brows furrowing as he thought. Admittedly, his mind was cloudy though....his condition would do that to a person....so he couldn't really come up with any sort of plan or anything.

Ella ignored Sage for the first couple of minutes, resting her head against the wall with her eyes closed. She didnt know whether to panic, stay calm or turn around and whack Sage just to get the frustration out. As nice as that sounded though, she settled on the second option. Well, she tried. "If he had said anything I wouldnt have come down here in the first place now would I. I'd at least keep myself safe." She spat, standing herself up from the wall and making her way back to the bottom of the stairs, seemingly pacing as if that would prise the door open. "You cant try and piece together a single sentence they may have said? Do you listen at all?" She asked, bitjng her inner lip. The nerves were getting to her rather fast. Ella hadnt been put in a hostage situation before, nor had she had her group struggle over a completely unknown attack, though itsounded as if this one was, well..bad. The only voices she could recognuse were the only ones that were crying out in distress. She sat down on a concrete stair next to where Sage had been sat when he was first brought down, looking over at him with a sigh. She was well and truly stuck with Sage. She felt slightly bad about snapping seeing as this was far from his fault, plus she knew they'd need to..work together. Ew. "Seriously did they say anything at all that couldbe important?" She asked again, this time more calm.

Sage had scowled when the girl snapped at him, eyes flashing angrily, though he did try to stay calm and think things through, knowing that could be the difference of life and death for the two of them. Or... something worse than death, which would be their near future unless something happened, and soon. Preferably something in their favor. "Well sorry for trying to figure things out when I've been stuck in this miserable sauna for a week," he spat back. "I was probably out cold for half of the day," he added with a snort before biting his lip and calming himself down, letting out a breath and shaking his head. "Your dad kept it pretty well a secret," he murmured. "All I heard was something about foreigners and needing to fortify things. To be ready for anything. Be brave. That sort of thing." He glanced over at the window again, stepping backwards into the shadows of the corner of the room when the voices seemed to move right past the door. "Is the other door locked or can they get in here and get to us with only one way in or out," he asked, admittedly a bit nervously. But if it was unlocked, maybe it could be a way out for the two of them too. He didn't know.

Ella didn't reply to Sage's comments snapping at her, she instead just stayed sat down, staring at the floor. It was starting to rain outside, and she was only a little grateful she was at least stuck inside a building. When he enquired aboutthe door she looked up, biting her inner lip rather hard. "The door at the top is completely jammed shut. Thats the only way out i think." She said, feeling quite useless in that exact moment. She jumped as she listened to the voices right next to the door at the top, her eyes widening a little at the sound of her fathers voice. It sounded weak, much the opposite of someone she didnt recognise. By the yelling, they'dgotten to her father. As Ella looked back st Sage she froze for a second, waiting until the voices were gone. She was looking quite stupid now, given he fact she mocked him for being weak. "We could climb through the window if it opens further, follow a small path and itll go into another room the same as this. Only problem is that door has been locked for ages." She mumbled.

Sage had frowned as he thought back to when he learned how to figure out door troubles. He knew this.....but he couldn't think of it. He just couldn't think. It was frustrating, really, knowing he was so bad at.... everything, simply because he'd been beaten and starved and was probably way dehydrated. He sort of ran a hand over his face with a slightly aggravated sigh, alibet a tired one. "Wonderful," he grumbled. Though, it did keep those other men out. However, it also kept them in.

When he noted Ella's father voice, it pulled his attention to the conversation that was happening and he hissed out a breath. They had his group too...and they were going after the other one in the area. "They're taking everyone out," he murmured. "Everyone in the area." He shook his head slightly, suddenly quite nervous of it all. If they could take over every group this easily in just a weeks time....they were a strong group. Knew what they were doing. Dangerous. He glanced over at the girl worridly, then grunted and shrugged. "I'm not as worried about getting out as I am them getting in and cornering us in here," he murmured gravelly.

He stood there, mins whirling, for a few minutes, just desperately trying to figure out.... something. Anything. Anything at all. Though, a burst of gunfire through the window prompted him to grab the girl and drag them both into the corner away from the ricocheting bullets, clamping a hand over her mouth. It was to see if there was anyone in here, and he was not going to let them know the two heirs to the groups they'd captured were cornered in here for them to pick up easily.

"Yeah, well im very aware of that. Thanks." Ella huffed, regretting her snapping almsot immedaitely. She couldnt carry that on for much longer, they were stuck in the room together after all. She leant against a couple rusty bars behind her, resting her head back against the metal with a sigh. She took her jacket off and placed it down under her, though she was still slightly cold, given the fact she had a top with very thin straps on under, and the top itself was skin tight and somewhat thin. After all she was only meant to be down there for a couple minutes. Ella felt herself relax slightly as she rested against the bars, her eyes slightly heavy, though that was immedatiely replaced with panic as she heard gunfire, and the windows shatter all over the room. She attempted to scream out of pure fear, but instead was snatched by Sage who had put a hand right over her mouth. For the first couple of seconds she struggled, trying her best to prise his hand away, though his grip was good, and eventually she slumped into Sage's body, her heart racing. Soon enough, the voices coming from the direction of the gunfire were gone, and she managed to prise his hand off her mouth, though was still relaxing into him. "Are they gone?" She asked, her voice a little shaky. Her group rarely used guns, nor had they had guns pulled on them, so she had every right to be terrified.

Sage had simply rolled his eyes in response to the girl's comment, figuring it would be better to just keep his mouth shut and not snap back at her. It was pretty obvious they'd taken everyone out. "No...I mean all of the groups in the area. Yours, mine, and the two others," he noted quietly. He wrinkled his nose slightly when she just sat down. It just seemed like she was giving up already. Which wasn't very helpful. For either of them. Of course, when he heard the guns and dragged them into the corner, he held onto the girl as best he could as she thrashed around. Did it hurt like hell? Yes. Could he feel his chest bleeding again as she went still? Also yes. Would it be worse if they got caught? Definitely. So he was willing to stay stock still in the corner, arm tightly around the girl's waist, even once she'd pried his hand off her mouth. "Shh," he chided her, obviously distracted as he watched the window, eventually moving away from her and peering out of it cautiously. "I think so," he whispered, already panting from moving around so much and so fast. Though, he had been somewhat slow and clumbsy, at least for hismelf.
