Ella shook her head at Sages words, her expression dropping slightly. She'd never really had much trouble with her parents, or with anyone for that matter, so the talk about abuse was hard for her to understand. "That's stupid id say. Are you not allowed to just..have freedom? I'd argue you should be able to" she frowned, unaware of the fact her words could come off abit insensitive. "Do you think if you came with me to pass time in the evenings, that would be allowed?" she asked thoughtfully, staring out the window at the snow.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comment and shrugged. "Not really," he mused. "People seem to rather have me just...sit here and look pretty for your aunt," he pointed out. "And she didn't want me elsewhere besides here or the bed." He cocked his head at her last comment, face lighting up in a sort of heasitant hope. "Maybe. I mean...you're the queen. They can't tell you you can't do something," he admitted.

"Good, you could come with me then. i'd rather not walk around alone, but it's better than being stuck in this room" she smiled, not entirely giving Sage much of a chance to reply. If he didn't want to, he'd have to get that across to her some other time. After a couple more minutes she stood back up, staring out the window at the snow. It had settled slightly, and was now coming down in small bounts. "We could go now, if you'd like?" she asked, tilting her head.

Sage couldn't help the shy smile that crossed his face when she said he could come with her. "Ok," he hummed happily. Really, he was both excited and nervous to go wander around the castle. People probably wouldn't like it, but the queen wanted him with her, so they couldn't really do anything about it. He nodded in response to her comment, standing up from where he was curled up on his corner and grabbing a blanket, since his only outfits were thin, tight fitting, and showed quite a bit of skin. They weren't exactly warm. But he wasnt going to let that rob him of the chance to potentially get out and about.

Ella had changed briefly into comifiet clothes, though it had taken her quite some time to brush out her hair and make it sit in front of her face the way she actually wanted. As she left the bathroom and headed towards the door she gave Sage an almost apologetic look for the amount of time she had taken, though it quickly turned into a frown as her gaze travelled over him. "Do you not have anymore clothes?" she asked politely, beckoning for him to head out of the door before her, starting off down the large hall. She was only really planning on walking around, seeing as the snow cut off most of the stuff she was told she could do- mainly take the horses around the village or so on.

Sage was more than happy to wait for the girl, since she was taking him along and he was really just glad about that. He moved to follow her out the door, humming slightly and shaking his head in response to her comment about his clothes. "Nope," he hummed. "They pretty much pick and choose what I get to wear," he admitted. "And as you can tell, you're aunt didn't put me in the most modest stuff," he half grumbled, though he was too excited to be out and not in any danger to be too annoyed about that. He didn't care what they did....he was just more than happy to be able to wander around with some kind of protection.

Ella frowned at Sages words, running her fingers across the walls slowly. "If i knew where you could get actual clothes i'd say, but I don't know my way around" She said quietly, peering over a small wall at a couple of people conversing. After a couple minutes of silent walking, she turned her head to sage as they went round the corner, kicking up the snow from outside the doors as she walked. "We should walk this more often, it's nice. As long as we're away from the adults that is" She said thoughtfully, and it was clear she was thinking pretty much out loud. She shielded her eyes from the weak snowfall as she looked up, the stars covering the sky in different patterns. "Let me know when you want to go back" she added, making patterns in the snow as she walked.

Sage nodded in response to her words and then shrugged. "I know about as much as you do," he mused. Once they got outside though, he pretty much forgot talking since he was staring at everything in a sort of awe. It had been so long since he'd been outside....and everything was a sparkling white powder or the green of the evergreen trees around them. "Ok," he chirped when she spoke up again .

After another 20 or so minutes of walking, Ella turned to Sage, rubbing her arm gently as snow fell onto it. "Do you know anywhere else we could go? Or should we go back?" She asked politely, looking at him through the strands of hair which had fallen over her eyes due to the slight wind. It had been a while since she had actually felt this relaxed what with being pressured into well..being the queen. And she liked it.

Sage had gone back to staring at the environment, and he tore his gaze back to Ella when she spoke up, the dumb grin still on his face. He hummed in thought for a moment before perking up even more. "Can we go to the barns? I've always watched the horses from the window but I've never actually seen one....like....in person. Close up," he asked, rather shyly. If she didn't want to, he couldn't force her to go ...but he'd always dreamed of having a horse, or at least riding one, so he really, really hoped she'd be alright with it.
