Drake shot Ella a smile as class started, and they were given review sheets. It was all stuff from last year and Drake moved through it quickly. The rest of class finshed without incident, and they moved onto photography. He actually quite liked the idea of photography, as a hobby, and figured it would be an enjoyable class. As the teacher explained the expectations, he was proven right that it would be enjoyable. Not much homework, and it was pretty much free rein with what their photos would be of. They were even given cameras from the school. Drake looked at Ella, "This is pretty cool." And snapped a picture of her mid turn. He laughed, "Oh it's a good one." He turned the camera so Ella could see. It was not a flattering photo and he was laughing the whole time.

Ella settled into seat for the next class, grateful she didn't have be seated next to some random shrieking girl or a guy who would think it funny to take the piss out of her. Or, so she thought. After she had listened to the various insctructions of the teacher, remembered to look interested and then settle with the work, she was greeted with the snap of a camera, right as she turned to look at Drake. She watched as he burst out laughing, looking at the photo with a slight frown. She took his hand to see it even clearer, and eventually broke out into a playful smile, letting go if his hand after. "you're lucky i found that funny" she joked, giving him a slight playful nudge.

Drake smiled at Ella, "I'll delete this one don't worry. Idk about next time tho." He teased. The class was let outside to photograph the flowers in front of the school and things around the exterior and the sports fields. Drake walked out and took a couple pictures of the flowers for his mom and then walked to take a picture of the front enterance. Shockingly, he slowly gravitated towards the football field. Ella was with him at first and he thought she'd gone somewhere else completely when he almost bumped into her moving towards the field. He fell into step next her, starting to head wherever she was going. "Who are some of you favorite music artists, maybe a couple favorite songs? I'm thinking that I'll make a playlist for our free period." Drake said, breaking the silence.

Ella had been pretty zoned out whilst she was working with the pictures outside, just happy to enjoy the sun, and to be able to think. When she wasnt being bombarded with questions by others of course. Soon enough though, her peace was taken as Drake fell into step with her, and she gave him a warm, slightly startled smile as he spoke. She racked her brain at his question, tilting her head in thought. "Judging by the music we listened to, i'd say my taste is quite different from yours" she laughed giving a small shrug. Ella had grown up listening to pop/rap artists, aka The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar. It seemed Drake had a very different taste. "do you happen to know anything about uh..Drake?" she asked teasingly, naming the namesake artist as he was the first to come to mind.

"Yes I know Drake, he's named after me of course." Drake laughed, "But I do like rap, I just don't have rap and country on the same playlist. I don't get hyped to Luke Combs ya know?" Drake fell into step next to her, stopping occasionally to snap a picture. He was so excited to start tryouts today, and he'd almost forgotten because he had previously planned on hitting the gym. He already knew which players from last season's squad were a lock and he knew the younger players who looked promising. Jacob had helped him a little bit. Drake fished out an airpod, "You wanna listen to my rap playlist and see what you think? I've got a lot of different artists on here." He'd always enjoyed 21, Travis, Drake, Pop Smoke, J Cole, and NLE before games but he also had Nicki, Megan, Kendrick, The Weeknd, Rihanna and various other artists on the playlist. It was a hip hop playlist really, not just a rap one. Drake offered Ella an airpod, popping the other into his right ear.

Ella's eyes scanned the field they were on, stopping occasionally as Drake took a couple pictures. Her gaze landed on the sports hall, and her eyes traced the dark purple and white outline slowly. She hadn't really thought about cheer practice most of the holiday, and the day before. In fact, she didn't even know when she next had cheer practice, which meant having to have an actual..conversation with her friends. She gave a small sigh and tore her gaze away from the colors, turning to look at Drake as he offered her an airpod, with an eager nod. She was a big fan of music, so seeing what other people's tastes were was..interesting. And fun. She put the airpod in, before flashing Drake a quick smile, checking the time. They didnt have too long until the end of the lesson. "As long as you're not too big on taylor swift i'm sure i'll enjoy it" she joked, fiddling with her bracelet.

gosh they are sooo good. i feel like a criminal bc i haven't listened to all the shotta flows yet but i have a game tmrw so i'll have a chance to do that. and metro on any song is just a vibe😩

They continued to amble along, snapping a photograph when the sun hit something nicely. Music was an escape for him, tune out life, or get him going for what he was enjoying in life. "Haha I'm sure you hear plenty of Taylor with your friends, but I don't have any on my playlists. Not really my kinda music." He understood what it was like to have a single artist played again and again until you just couldn't stand them. They'd made their way onto the football field, and Drake went to one sideline to take a horizontal picture of the field and home bleachers. He looked at the spotify queue, happy to find multiple songs from i am > i was next up. It was a great album, and he enjoyed the features very much. Good Day started playing and he nodded his head along with the beat.

Ella nodded, giving Drake a slightly solemn look. "They love taylor. I most definitely dont" She sighed, remembering the multiple albums always on repeat in her own car, purely due to her friends. She'd always preferred Kanye, really. She walked round, purely enjoying the multiple songs that came on, every now and then glancing at Drake and offering him a warm smile. It was strange for her to be so relaxed around a guy she had known for less than a week, especially due to the ongoing verbal abuse from her ex. Still, she wasnt exactly complaining. "what do we have next again? I forgot" she smiled, kicking a blade of grass as she spoke.

Drake nodded, toeing a pile of turf beads, sending Ella a smile every once in a while. He rolled up his t-shirt sleeves, enjoying the sun hitting his skin. He just felt so right around Ella, it really didn't feel like he'd just met her yesterday. "We have lunch and then science." Drake checked the time on his phone, noticing they'd be heading in soon. He flipped through the photographs he'd taken, deleting the extras and duplicates he'd taken. When he stood up, he saw the rest of the class walking towards the doors. "Suppose we're heading in now, shame we have to go sit in that cold lunch room." Drake commented, starting his way to the school.

Ella shot Drake a thank you before heading towards the school, flicking through the admittedly low amount of pictures she had taken. Really, she had been too distracted watching Drake take his, and just..thinking. After a little while she looked back up, listening as he spoke. "you dont have too, there's always..the rest of the school" she said playfully, though she was in full agreement with him. She hated having to be in that room most of the time, screamed at by her friends and barged by the smallest younger years..ever. As they got to the school, Ella stood aside to let Drake walk through first, looking at him through the rays of the sun with a smile.
