"I'll tell you later. If we do end up nearby." He pretty much promised. He turned his head with her hand. Her thumb very much felt like it was pressing needles into his face. He winced slightly as he turned away. "I'm pretty sure it's too late for that." His eyes watering slightly he put the back of his hand up to his nose and held it for a moment. It hurt a lot. He just hoped that if it turned color it would go away before he saw anyone he knew.

"I'll hold you to that." She teased, watching him. "Maybe not. Would you like some ice to press to it?" She asked, trying to be helpful to him.

He shook his head. "Unless you have some at hand I'll be fine. I'll just avoid sleeping on my face. Or showing my face for that matter." He said in a manner that sounded tired but still playful.

"I would look for some, but you seem exhausted. I have a little salve that might help, though. Speaking of sleeping, where are you staying tonight?" She asked curiously. Edited at August 3, 2023 10:04 PM by Widow Valley Farms

He looked at her kinda suspiciously but she really seemed trustworthy which was odd. "I'm staying at a little hotel nearby, I can't remember what it was called." He sat up slightly. "Its like a five minute walk from here."

Kitty thought for a moment. "Maybe Casa de Corazon?" (I know that means House of Heart but I just yanked spanish from my brain, okay?) Her pronunciation was perfect, and she flowed between the english dialect and spanish effortlessly. She stood and walked toward the storage room. "I'll be back." She dug around in her bag, pulling out a small jar filled with a green paste/gel. She trotted back out to him, popping back on the haybale. "Im assuming you'd want to put this on yourself, since I only seem to hurt you when I touch you. Its a bruise salve, it cools the area and tends to divert blood flow away from it, so the bruise is less pigmented." She set it between them gently, offering it to him.

He wracked his brain for a moment. "Yeeees? Yes. i think so." He may or may not have been a little thrown off by the way she pronounced the hotel's name. He nodded as she walked off, immediately turning to rub his eyes. What kind of witch was she? She got him to talk so easy. He groaned quietly in what could only be tiredness, pain and or regret. He huffed and leaned forward over his knees with his head down. It looked like he was praying but his hands weren't clasped together. He looked up af her as she brought back the gel. He narrowed his eyes. "I really just like to complain. if you want to touch my lovely face more I wouldn't complain..that much." He teased slightly.

She chuckled at him, unscrewing the lid on the jar and putting some on her ring finger. She lifted it, spreading it across his wound as best she could, covering all of it. The gel smelled like mint and something else sweet, with nothing distinctive on top of that. It was cooling as it seeped into his skin. She screwed the top back on the jar and popped it back at his side. "Take it with you. Apply it once a day and it should keep the bruise from developing too bad." She smiled. He felt like she was snjoying it as he held it out for her. He winced, one eye half shut in pain when she found a particular spot. He could hardly smell anything but the smell of that was strong and strangely good, slightly wanting to taste it if not for the texture. "Thank you." He said with a smile, a gentle sweetness on his face. "Hey, I'll be in Paris for the next tournament (whenever we want that muahaha)." He said in a slightly hopeful way, standing up.(*cue welp I spose*)

"Anytime." Kitty gave him a warm smile. She didn't know quite why she so readily trsuted the man, but he just seemed so... sweet. She tilted her head at him as he stood, the hopeful undertone not lost on her. "What? Haven't even left and you can't wait to see me again?" She teased, leaning back on the haybale. "You'll have to find me there, then. I shouldn't be too hard to locate." She said, slightly sarcastically.
