Kennedy had her gaze out the window but she brought it over to Caden as he spoke "Really?..." She asked kind of not believing it herself Wherever she went usually people seemed to turn annoyed or angry like how Matt did because of her attitude towards things, so Kennedy had a hard time believing Caden. At his next sentence she nodded taking note of what he said "Okay that's good to know... Are the hills close to the station too?" Kennedy asked still having her gaze on Caden

Caden nods and smiles before looking around and turning into a restaurant before saying " the hills is a bit close but not as close might be 15 to 20 minutes " as he parks there wasn't a lot of cops that go here to eat and he was happy there wasn't a lot then parks and turns off the car and got out and said " I believe you will like the hills since it more kinda protective than main town is " then added " but the view is always breath taking "

Kennedy brought her gaze from Caden and over to the resturant he pulled into. She examined it while listening to him speak "Oh that's not terribly far" Kennedy said while continuing to look over the place, it seemed nice so hopefully it had some good food. She got out of the car when Caden did "Exactly what I was hoping for, a place that I can feel safe... Along with a breath taking view makes it even better" Kennedy said with a soft smile thinking about it before shutting the door and walking to the front of the vehicle

Caden smiles as he made his way to the entrance of the restaurant and opens the door for her again then said " yeah I agree Don't want to be Rob or hold at gun point " as he remembers those kinda calls when he was in the police academy for practice having to do them to get use to danger now that class change so much he doesn't know if they had to do that again

Kennedy followed Caden to the front of the resturant, she tipped her head as a 'thanks' to him for holding open the door. She walked in and stepepd off to the side waiting for Caden to follow in "Exactly, I'd rather not have that experience right off the bat living here" She said with a small sigh. Kennedy couldn't even imagine what that would be like, the worst thing that ever happened to her was being held back with a knife but that was completely more different than a gun

Caden nods and said " yeah I haven't been in one but I almost had a break in by a drunk man who through it was his home but I arrested him for drinking and driving " as he smirks as he walks in and told the waiter a table for two as he let's her got first following the girl before he followed behind and said " but that was years ago and I have had it happen ever since then " as he nods to himself

Kennedy eyes windened slightly hearing Cadens story "Man that must have been fun to deal with" She joked lightly before starting to follow the girl who showed them to a table with two chairs. Kennedy sat down on one side of the table "Well that's good it was only that one time" She commented with a small nod, already starting to set her mind on moving out to the hills

Caden said " yeah it was fun but the guy keep yelling at me saying it was his house " before sitting down and shaking his head then looks at her and said " what made you become a detective " as he was curious about about why people wanted to be a detective then anything else that was not dangerous even if you sometimes get in to trouble with cops or bad guys

Kennedy chuckled lightly "Oh yeah sounds like loads of fun" She said with a joking smile at the thought of it. At Cadens question she let out a small sigh, she would have to go into a little of her life when she was younger so her explanation made sense and she wasn't exactly fond of the idea but she trusted Caden to not share it with others "Well when I was bouncing around from foster home to foster home, I ended up in a town that had a low crime spree. When I arrived there everyone got to now me as the troubled kid that ran away from home and was always up to no good.... So when a few petty crimes started to happen but no one knew who did it, it got all pointed to me... Eventually the crime spree built up in the town so when the first murder happened of course everyone started pointing at the one person they knew was troubled and could only imagine me doing it..." Kennedy paused for a moment taking a deep breathe "So of course I was brought in for questioning and thats when i met Detective Robert White, he was the only one in that entire field that believed I didn't do it which I didn't obviously. After the whole incident he decided that I just needed a mentor so he took me under his wing and showed me the rights and wrongs and what not... He was like a father to me and I appreciate everything he did for me so I wanted to follow in his footsteps and be just like him so maybe I could change someones life as well" Kennedy finally finished speaking bringing her gaze down to the table where her hands were being fidgety

Caden listens to her talking about it and felt bad for her then once she finished talk he looks over at her and said " I am so sorry they shouldn't have started blaming crimes a you as a kid for one thing and they should know that kids really can't do crimes not like murder another person it not easy on them " before he reaches over grabs her hand squeeze it then said " you are doing very well in his foot steps that he is probably smiling down at you happily " as he trys to comfort her before he pulled his hand away and looks around caden try to make sentence to why they would blame it on a kid who was just in foster care and who was trouble like most kids in foster care especially himself
