"sounds good" she walked to the market and came back with two stallions that gleamed in the sun, she put the first in the barn and saddled up the second "cmon boy" she kicked him softly and he shot off like a bullet leaping any hurdle under him

Once he had finished building the second bed, Sage grabbed the other stallion. Without bothering to put a bridle or saddle on, he jumped up onto the horse's back and guided him into the woods. A few minutes in, he slid off and let the horse graze while he hunted. He came across a young buck and stalked it for a while before killing it. He picked it up and carried it over his shoulders, blood from the deer staining his shirt a deep red. He mounted the horse again and rode back at a fast-paced canter, so the meat would still be fresh by the time he got back. He cantered into the yard and waved at Sara. "Venison for dinner tonight," he yelled over the sound of the wind in his ears. He leaned over, still riding, and dropped the deer by the front step of the house before steering the stallion to the corral. The horse lept over the fence with ease and Sage slid off, leaving him to graze in peace. He picked up the deer and began to gut and skin it, preparing it to cook.

She galloped the horse as he cleared a jump "your gonna be a money maker buddy" she did tight circles and he reared up and jumped 5 feet before swirling on his back feet and clearing the 6 foot wall, she got off and rubbed him watching him froth at the mouth"you worked up a sweat buddy" she walked him around and put him in the pasture

Sage finished cleaning the deer and made a fire to cook it. He waited for sara to be done with the horse, and played with the grass to amuse himself. He was laying on his stomach while doing so, and fell asleep next to the fire after a while, his head resting on his arms. A nightmare woke him up after a while, and he sat up, yelping, until he realized where he was. He sighed and made the fire a bit bigger, turning the deer over so it wouldn't burn. He glanced over at sara, who was still petting the horse. Damn, she really likes that horse! He chuckled and watched her interact with the stallion. Shes pretty. And so nice. I wonder if someone like her could ever love someone like me? He sighed. I doubt it. Hope only leads to disappointment, Sage. Watch yourself. He sighed and lay on his back in the grass, keeping an eye on the deer meat, which was almost done. Edited at October 20, 2021 03:10 PM by NightClan

she groomed the stallion until he shone and walked back and tripped on something in the grass"oh no.."she fell onto his chest with a thump"you okay?If that hurt me that probably hurt you" she got up wobbling and the stallion started nickering hello!pay attention to me not that guy! she held in a snort as he started prancing unhappy "I think you need a lady"she raised an eyebrow as he started nodding his head, the other stallion came over and started nodding his head, she laughed"the bachelor herd."

Sage chuckled at the stallions antics, and then blushed at the fact the sara has fallen on top of him. He didn't mind....but it was still odd to touched and not hurt. "Nah, I'm fine. You're not the only person who's fallen on top of me. And on the plus side, you're not going at me with a knife either, so I'm all good." He glanced over at the stallions. "The bachelor herd. Maybe I should go join them," he chuckled. "We could, I dunno, go terrorize the squirrels or something." His face muscles were starting to hurt from smiling so much. I think this girl is the one, but i dont see how she could ever love me. He half hoped that she would try and get him to not 'join the bachelor herd' but he squashed his hope, thinking it was too much to ask for. Edited at October 21, 2021 06:31 AM by NightClan

(Love the new stable name!) He snickered at her words. "The lone wolf," he agreed. "Although, I'm not actually alone, but you get my drift." Bachelor. Ouch. Ah well, better to be friends than nothing. Theres no way I can tell this girl I like her. What if she doesnt like me in that way and the relationship we have is broken? Ugh. He watched the horses for a while until the deer meat was done. "Ready for dinner?" Edited at October 29, 2021 05:40 PM by NightClan
