Ajax sighed with a defeated look on his face, holding Mercy's hand gently but with the sense that he never wanted to let go again. "Aw- well at least I passed. A- though? Phooey." He groaned, then perked up a little. "Wait wait, here, try this." Ajax made a face then proceeded to look quite hopeful. "I just love you so much and I never want to let you go again. You are my light and happiness and I could go NOWHERE without your love." Ajax commented, exaggerating on each word and squeezing her hand at the same time.

"Yeah, not the best, but you tried." Mercy teased, tilting her head as he spoke again and sitting up a little more. "Alright then, show me whatcha got." She teased, giggling as he spoke. "A++. Too good to grade, absolutely stunning work. Truly." She teased, lifting her head to lay a kiss on his cheek.

"Awww, much better. Thank you madam score-keeper." Ajax did the best bow he could while sitting down, wrapping his arm back around her afterward. "I'm glad that was good enough for Your Highness." He said sarcastically, chuckling. "It is HARD to do that, so don't expect it every time." Ajax warned with a dramatic scoff, smiling a little.

"Any time, my beloved." Mercy said playfully, leaning into him as he rewrapped his arm around her. "Yes, well, my standards are kind of high." She teased, rolling her eyes and giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "Alright then, I won't get my hopes up or anything." She said sarcastically, shifting to curl closer to him.

"Too high!" Ajax protested the case, snorting his resistance. "It almost broke me to do it once, I can't imagine what would happen a second time." He sighed in despair, coughing a little to keep in his laughter. -Too much, too much- He thought, the edge of his lips twitching as he tried not to smile. "Oh good, because there is no way I would be able to do it again." He answered, matching her sarcasm.

She asked sarcastically, gently rubbing her thumb across the back of his hand. "Well, too bad, because guess what? I love you." She huffed, looking up at him teasingly.

Those sound like easier options." He stopped his sideways movement and stroked his chin in mock thought. "Eh- absolutely not fair. My brain cannot comprehend two *I love you*s." He sniffed, sticking his nose in the air haughtily.

"Nooooo, come back." Mercy pouted, wiggling after him. Binx also mewed pitifully at the movement, shifting so he was still curled up. Mercy huffed at him and rolled her eyes. "Well, too bad. You're stuck in here with me." She mocked, giving him a mock nasty look at his next words. "Does your brain also not comprehend how amazing I am? Because if it did, two I love yous would be nothing." She said sarcastically.
